Hey guys,

For the first time i sat down today and made my first patterned horse with the technique of Vixen Studios Turtorial on youtube.
Special thanks to Fox Haven Farm for that one.

Iam kinda proud of this piece as it is my first of this kind and i dont think its to bad but i would like to have some critique on it, to see what others think and see what i can do better in the next one.
Good and Bad critique is welcome :D

Very nice! I have a few critiques:

-The horse looks too big for the BG. That can be fixed by making the BG larger or shrinking the horse.
- I would try to add a few subtle lowlights and highlights to try and increase the horse's definition.
-Try using Colour Balance to help match the horse to the BG.
- Remember shadows! They are one of the key things to making art look convincing.
- Following shadows, try to match the lighting in the BG to the lighting on the horse. Here, the BG light source is in the middle but the horse's light source is coming from his rear end. If the horse's light source was more on his back, it would be easier to make the piece more realistic and convincing.
-Try adding a few more long wispy pieces of stray hair as well. ;)

Overall, well done! :D
