Sage had sort of stirred when Mari moved to get up, humming with a small nod. 'ill be down soon," he noted with a stretch. It was nice to be able to do that without anything hurting...it had been a while since he could get a nice stretch in when he woke. He lay around for a few more minutes before eventually moving to use the bathroom and just....freshen up a bit. Brush his hair out, wash his face, clean clothes, that sort of thing. Well, he was really just in old clothes that were basically just pajamas or lazy wear, but whatever. He wandered down after that, sort of just waddling into the kitchen tk see what Mari had decided to make.

Mari smiled softly to him with a bit of a nod, although she soon found her way into the kitchen. While she liked cooking in the castle... this was better, decidedly so. She could comfortably make food for her family, and she of course loved that. She just made up some crepes, since she knew Sage liked them, and offered them to him with a happy little smile when he came down. She sort of handed him a plate and pecked his nose at the same time before moving to perch on the side of the table. "How you feeling?" She asked gently.

Sage couldn't help but grin when he noticed the crepes, reaching for the plate eagerly. Her peck has surprised him, but he just chuckled after the initial moment of shock as he'd crossed his eyes in an attempt to see his nose before just pecking her cheek and thanking her happily, plopping down in a chair to nibble at them. "Better after sleeping in my own bed," he noted with a chuckle. He'd slept fine at the ward but....this was his home. It was just different. "I could stretch this morning and just sprawl out still comfortably," he added lightly. It was a good sign ...he was healing, and his body was mostly moving back to normal.

Mari couldn't help her little laugh at his expression, but watched him settle down with his plate. He did look more relaxed. She knew he felt safe in the ward, but he had been a bit more antsy than usual the past few weeks. It made sense after everything he'd been through, but still... this was good. Getting back into a somewhat normal routine was good. "Oh, is that the only good part about being home? You get to sprawl out on the bed?" she asked with an amused sort of chuckle.

Sage couldn't help but chuckle as Mari spoke, and he sort of gave her a grin and mock him of thought. "Yup. That's it. That's all I care about," he noted with a head nod. It wasn't true, of course, and they all knew it, but he could tease a bit. He felt good enough to, so why wouldn't he? Everything was going back to normal....so his humor could be normal too. He did tilt his head back to grin up at her though, clearly just glad to be back with her and the kids and all the animals.

Mari gave a bit of a giggle before patting his back slightly after a few moments. "Oh, I knew," she mused softly. "That's all you really wanted. A nice big bed to laze about in," she snickered slightly. It was nice to hear him making a joke for once. He seemed better in himself. She kind of craned her neck to peck his cheek, offering another smile. "You look better," she hummed. "Why don't you head out and see the horses and such?" she chirped.

Sage just grinned up at her, nodding along with the joke. "Yup. I just needed you and the kids for that dream to become a reality," he chuckled. His face light up when she mentioned the horses though, humming in agreement. "I did want to get out there for a while," he agreed. He just wasn't sure he'd make it there and back. "Walk with me," he asked with a cocked head. Truth was, he just wanted her there. He'd missed her. This life they'd built together.
