They are great for supplies! Our LFS actually partners with them because of how much they recommend them.

I was thinking of ordering supplies from this company. I have heard good things and they have good guides.

Checkout used tanks often people will be nearly giving them away, just make sure to fill it up outside first for a few days to make sure it’s not leaking. Never take a tank with cracks even if they’re small and are current ply holding water

Or, you can typically do it cheaper by piecing it together yourself. Tank, light, cover(optional), heater, filter, air pump, airline hoses, bubble wand, substrate, and then obviously decorations (nothing plastic) and the fish.

I reccomend tetras as well, you want a lot 10-20 as theyre schooling fish and they have a high casualty rate especially when you first get them

You can get a 20 gallon tall kit at most pet stores for about $200 that will include just about everything except substrate, plants, and fish.

Bird, I loved my tetras, I believe I had the 2 for 4/5 years? But do be weary when you get them, I originally had 4 but unfortunately we lost 2 very shortly after due to the 'professionals' we talked with I'll informing us on the best amount for our tank!

@charm, I was hoping to keep it less than $500

Like with anything it takes a lot of research (and it's a bit of an investment) to do things right.

Bettas are definitely able to get away with a 10. I just wouldn't go lower, they explore and swim around way more than people realize

After 3 months of work and almost 20k down the drain my truck will finally be repaired and drivable tomorrow >_< proud of myself for not giving up

Bird, Unfortunately I never got to try a planted tank, but I've heard amazing things! I do really wish I'd had time to lol

For preferably a smaller tank. Less than 20 gallons.

Other than betta fish, what are some good beginner fish?

Exactly what charm said! It really makes things easier, and the fish love it too!

@DD, so you have had good luck with plants?
Backwood Barns
10:10:56 Charm's Wubs
I will always recommend planted. It will also help keep your tank clean and water quality higher because plants remove nitrates/nitrites from the fish waste.

Ok, I slowed it down a bit. It will only increase speed for every 3 lines you clear.

You will need to do a hard refresh/clear tempfiles/cache to see this change.

I wasnt able to get the keyboard controls to work. im on chrome. the mouse controls are not my favorite at all since it likes to go too far to the side or switch positions too quickly. and a grid would be much nicer so we can see where the shapes are going

EDIT: After completely clearing my cache the keyboard controls work. the game is much more enjoyable now :)

After unpausing the game, it continues to say "Game Paused" across the screen. This is in Chrome.

I gotta agree to the previous statements. First 9 lines are easy, then the blocks start falling down at a speed that makes it impossible to even go further. -Correcting myself, works fine now!-

Also, same problem as Eury, the keys don't always work. Then again, it might be firefox that's causing the issue.

Though it's a nice game ~

The keyboard controls are frustrating and hard to use. Like Eurynome, I had to hit the keys multiple times to move it. I like the game though, it is very creative:)

Firefox has been slow for me lately, so that might be the problem. That's why I switched to Safari (a while ago), but it still doesn't cooperate.

The game unpauses itself when I scroll up/down or go to another tab :)

Using latest Chrome

Just got done playing. Seems like the blocks go pretty slow and then all of a sudden a huge speed up to the point where it's not really playable anymore. Not sure if that's intentional and you're trying to cap how many points/how long the game runs or not?

Anyway, I don't see a gradual speed up. It just went normal and then all of a sudden one huge speed up. And one of the lines wouldn't clear at all despite being full so I had some blocks on the bottom, a full empty space and then one full line that wouldn't clear and the rest of the blocks just built up on top of that, but those would clear. Possible bug?

Otherwise I like it. I'm a huge fan of Tetris so this is fun.

I'm using the most updated version of FireFox if that matters.

I changed the speed up today, so if you want to try the new version do a hard refresh/clear tempfiles/cache.
