Do you guys have any tank brand recommendations? I definitely need one with a lid.
Charmed Acres

They are great for supplies! Our LFS actually partners with them because of how much they recommend them.

I was thinking of ordering supplies from this company. I have heard good things and they have good guides.

Checkout used tanks often people will be nearly giving them away, just make sure to fill it up outside first for a few days to make sure it’s not leaking. Never take a tank with cracks even if they’re small and are current ply holding water
Backwood Barns

Or, you can typically do it cheaper by piecing it together yourself. Tank, light, cover(optional), heater, filter, air pump, airline hoses, bubble wand, substrate, and then obviously decorations (nothing plastic) and the fish.

I reccomend tetras as well, you want a lot 10-20 as theyre schooling fish and they have a high casualty rate especially when you first get them

You can get a 20 gallon tall kit at most pet stores for about $200 that will include just about everything except substrate, plants, and fish.

Bird, I loved my tetras, I believe I had the 2 for 4/5 years? But do be weary when you get them, I originally had 4 but unfortunately we lost 2 very shortly after due to the 'professionals' we talked with I'll informing us on the best amount for our tank!

@charm, I was hoping to keep it less than $500

Should always try our best with animals. Research is worth it

Like with anything it takes a lot of research (and it's a bit of an investment) to do things right.

Bettas are definitely able to get away with a 10. I just wouldn't go lower, they explore and swim around way more than people realize

After 3 months of work and almost 20k down the drain my truck will finally be repaired and drivable tomorrow >_< proud of myself for not giving up

Bird, Unfortunately I never got to try a planted tank, but I've heard amazing things! I do really wish I'd had time to lol
Hummingbird Meadows

For preferably a smaller tank. Less than 20 gallons.

Other than betta fish, what are some good beginner fish?

Exactly what charm said! It really makes things easier, and the fish love it too!

Hello! So I breed 200-300 SD foals a year, but I only want the E colts and W filllies. Is there anyone out there that would want to take the W or P colts and the E or P fillies? I just need a few more W fillies to fill my barn, and then you can have any I breed after that.
These are all SD horses, slight dressage majority but all 3 disciplines, and all breeds. Great horses to start your own show string or breeding program.
1k per horse

I enter horses in shows every 4 weeks. if I kept P and W horses, I'd need to do 5 weeks and 3 weeks respectively (or something). That would be too confusing, so I'd need separate barns, and then that's kind of a waste of space because I'd never have an even 100 of P and W horses cause I'd keep getting more... I use the easy show enter page and never go barn to barn, just due to time. Same for mares, I have 2 breeding barns of E, and one for W. I'm at capacity and I don't want anymore LOL.
.
Idk if that makes any sense lmao, but this is just the easiest way for me. I have 1300 geldings and 300 mares, I plan to increase to 1500 geldings, and after that theres no point in expanding because I'll just hit the showcap.
.
AD sounds even more confusing, I applaud you for that.

what breeds and disciplines you got? I'd love some fresh W D fillies for my SA! I do SH/ISH/PON over there so breed is less important :3

Unfortunately, I still need 29 more fillies to fill my barn, but if you still need them in a few months I'll have a steady stream! ISH, SH, and PON is exactly what I have lol

Unfortunately I don't get many PON, and I have no W PONs right now, but I'll keep an eye out in the future!
