Adele smiled and watched him leave, then sighed and forced herself to go to Alban's room to check on him. The prince wasn't there, so she assumed he had gone to get lunch. She found him in the parlor, one of the maids reading one of his favorite books to him. Adele smiled and quietly sat next to them, loving how care-free Alban looked.

(Sorry it took me so long, I could not decide how to reply) . Adele was glad to see Alban not moping around. It was good to distract yourself from painful things sometimes, and she did not like seeing him sad. After the maid finished the book. Alban hugged Adele and she hugged him back. Then they went to the kitchen to get a snack, before Adele had to leave to go into the city and sort out the aftermath of the battle. It was not a fun day. After hours of working in the city, she came back to her room and collapsed on her bed, suddenly craving lemonade and baked goods from the night kingdom. But she knew she couldn't go there. Not now. There was too much at stake, too much to do. Instead, she went down to the great hall to eat dinner. But she quickly realized that she was lonely eating dinner by herself in such a huge room. So Adele grabbed a plate of food and went out into the garden, glad that the night kingdom army hadn't destroyed too much of it. She sat next to her favorite fountain, eating and thinking about Alban and Caelan and her parents.
