Just started Daughter of the Deep by Rick Riordan (literally on the third chapter!). Have to say, so far obsessed!

Still slowly chugging along through Chain of Iron by Cassandra Clare; basically pick it up for a couple chapters then it goes to the back-burner. Can't stay focused on it (been a year!) and I've skipped around a couple times. Although I've felt that way with the last few books (since The Dark Artifices series).

My audiobook list keeps growing exponentially - but I keep jumping back to oldies/goodies or podcasts. Hopefully I'll have some time coming up to really dedicate to tackling my To Be Read list.

Reaction: I was not excited to read this book, because I was not a fan of Nesta in the other books and found her "woe-is-me" act very annoying. I love Cassian, but prefer Azriel and selfishly want a book from him perspective. That being said, I was pleasantly surprised to find that this book had a good plot that linked the other books in the series and was more than just spicy scenes, though there were plenty of those. I adore the way SJM writes and found a new understanding for Nesta. I am obsessed with the inclusion of the valkyries and am excited for the next book! Emerie and Gwyn need more story time!
