PPP mares can be good for quests though if you are into that. Stallions not so much, but PPP geldings make for good show horses

I made the mistake of breeding all my horses & buying foals and now they’ve grown up and I’m trying to sort them out and I’ve been putting it off for so long 😭

I while back some of you were talking about nylon halters that break...I have NEVER known a nylon halter to break! I've seen horses hand themselves up in the trailer with them before actually.
And in all honesty, I would only ever use a breakaway halter. I know that's not popular in Western circles but if my horse can't break free, then he will panic and there's no telling what he will do. Something to keep in mind if you ever have a hotter horse.

@EmeradleHills
I understand why others would use them but I guess I rather use rope halters because I train half wild horses too. But I agree, becareful with/around hotter horses

I've never known a nylon headcollar to break either. They just get worn and old lol
.
We have a nylon and rope halter, I feel that you have more control with a rope halter, as the long lead rope with it let's you get the horse out of your space if they kick out or something like that. I use the rope halter for lunging and bringing in and stuff like that. I use the nylon for tying up and grooming. Just have in mind with a rope halter you need to use a special knot for it, it's quite easy to learn and you could easily find YouTube videos on how to do it

Please find a trainer to work with you and your horse, somebody you trust and has had successful turnout with other horse and rider pairings in the past. Going in without a guide can result in a dangerous or painful horse. It's better to have somebody you trust showing you the ropes in person. Internet advice can be handy but it can only get you so far.

Have you owned a horse before?
I know you have worked with them but you wouldn't be able to go straight into buying a horse who needs a lot of work.
Do you have a job to pay for all of these things?
If its ok to ask, what age are you?
