Backwood Barns

You can get a 20 gallon tall kit at most pet stores for about $200 that will include just about everything except substrate, plants, and fish.

Bird, I loved my tetras, I believe I had the 2 for 4/5 years? But do be weary when you get them, I originally had 4 but unfortunately we lost 2 very shortly after due to the 'professionals' we talked with I'll informing us on the best amount for our tank!
Hummingbird Meadows
10:15:34 Bird
@charm, I was hoping to keep it less than $500
Versailles
10:15:19 Versa
Should always try our best with animals. Research is worth it
Backwood Barns
10:14:43 Charm's Wubs
Like with anything it takes a lot of research (and it's a bit of an investment) to do things right.
Versailles
10:14:17 Versa
Bettas are definitely able to get away with a 10. I just wouldn't go lower, they explore and swim around way more than people realize
Wings Of Glory
10:14:08 O Great Potato Wing
After 3 months of work and almost 20k down the drain my truck will finally be repaired and drivable tomorrow >_< proud of myself for not giving up
Dash and Duchess
10:13:45 DD | ~Squizard~
Bird, Unfortunately I never got to try a planted tank, but I've heard amazing things! I do really wish I'd had time to lol
Hummingbird Meadows
10:13:39 Bird
For preferably a smaller tank. Less than 20 gallons.
Hummingbird Meadows
10:13:23 Bird
Other than betta fish, what are some good beginner fish?
Dash and Duchess
10:12:09 DD | ~Squizard~
Exactly what charm said! It really makes things easier, and the fish love it too!
Hummingbird Meadows
10:11:48 Bird
@DD, so you have had good luck with plants?
Backwood Barns
10:10:56 Charm's Wubs
I will always recommend planted. It will also help keep your tank clean and water quality higher because plants remove nitrates/nitrites from the fish waste.
Dash and Duchess
10:10:54 DD | ~Squizard~
Versa & Bird, gotta love plants and fishies!
-
Bird, you should! I made the mistake of not doing one with my tetras and I honestly regret it a bit xD
Backwood Barns
10:08:59 Charm's Wubs
Um, I guess? They're alive, but they're not growing for him. They're only as big as they are because they thrived in my tank. So I guess my advice is to get an established piece?
Hummingbird Meadows
10:08:17 Bird
@DD, yes. I kind of want a betta fish. Trying to decide if I should do a planted tank.
Versailles
10:07:56 Versa
Yes indeed, DD
Backwood Barns
10:07:43 Charm's Wubs
Ironically, he can grow 10-feet long Jungle Val, and as soon as I take a few pieces of it, it dies in my tanks. So it's all about finding the plants that you can maintain and thrive in your tanks!
Hummingbird Meadows
10:07:40 Bird
@Charm, pointless as in easy?

XD you should come out to my ranch sometime then and you'll learn a lot of stuff. For example, wild cattle and working cattle.

It also matters on the parents too but yeah they are quiet wild. If your ready for a crazy ride go for it! but I would wait with the Akhal Tekes until you get really go with riding and such.
--
Horse halters - I would rather you get rope halters because the Nylon horse halters break easily. Also I also sugest that you get a rope that you can tie on to the halter and stayes with that halter instead of a clip because if a horse pulls back while being tied, the clit will break.
..
Saddle pads- memery foam! it is really nice for horses that have very high withers but they still need more padding than that. Also, they work with any horse so that is my sugestion.
..
bits- DONT USE THE ONES THAT COME IN THE SET!!! use a tom thumb snaffle. (other wise the set is fine)
..
Rains - I use split rains because for me the are easier to use and I never used anything else (also better for training) but they are for neck raining and if a horse is bucking and you are not used to them, you can loose one quickly. Conected rains, you have a less chance to loose but if you do you don't have anything connected to you horses head. whith just one rain you can stop bucking.
..
bubbarded you with stuff XD

Hackmore: your going to have to be careful on the ones you by because if they are used to hard, they can bread a bone in their knose so becareful on that.
..
depends on the wool one. I would get a saddle pad from State Online Tack.
Stateonlinetack.com would be a great place to get stuff that is worth or money. It has cheeper prices but a lot of great stuff. It will be good to start looking at that stuff.
..
I hoped I helped intstead of confusing you... XD
