(sorry, the last response apparently didn't go through when I sent it ToT) Sage sort of gave Mari a small grin when he heard her laugh, thanking her with a soft breath as she handed him the plate and glass of water. He didnt get through much, just like she'd assumed, but he did get through most of what was on the plate easily enough. It tastes good, as always, so he figured staying awake for a while in order to eat it was worth it. Once he was done though, he moved to set the plate in the sink and peck her head lightly. "I'm going to bed," he noted with a quiet laugh. "You'll be up soon," he asked, sort of just waiting for her response before nodding and wandering up the stairs, getting comfortable in the bed and letting himself drift off.

(No worries!) Mari gave a slight smile when he pecked her head, and nodded softly to him after a moment or two. He did look tired. It made sense, he'd been busy and was still healing up a little more she supposed. She looked up as he walked off though, and kind of just got busy cleaning up the kitchen before making her way up to bed. Sage looked exhausted, already passed out and sprawled out over the bed. She got ready and kind of slipped in the little bit of space on the bed that Sage wasn't occupying and slipped off to sleep fairly quickly.

Thankfully, sage got a decent night's sleep that night. No dreams of any kind, no restlessness that woke him up at some ungodly hour, nothing happening around him to jolt him awake thinking some bad thing was happening. It was just....peaceful. Good. Maybe he was making some progress. He certainly hoped so. When he woke the next morning, it was nearly ten o'clock, but he supposed that didn't really matter. He just curled in where Mari was still holding him, letting out a soft huff of air and relaxing again.

Mari slipped off to sleep after a small moment, glad just to have some some rest. It hadn't been a super busy day, but getting back into a routine seemed tiring. She slept well into the morning, waking up slowly when she felt Sage shift. She groaned softly and kind of just buried herself under the covers, glad just to relax for a little while before the kids started running around and they actually had to get up to do something or other. She pressed her forehead into the crook of his neck after a few moments, drawing in a soft breath before settling back down.

Sage felt a soft smile form on his face when he felt Mari just curl in, grunting in a sort of good morning way, tightening his grip on her slightly and burying his face in her hair. The kids would be up soon but they could take care of themselves, at least enough for breakfast and whatnot. For now, he was just glad to sleep in, and have a good night rest. He was thrilled Mari was still there too....she wasn't always, since she tended to get up and go do things....so this was certainly nice.

Mari felt a soft smile cross her face when he curled up, letting herself wake up slowly. She knew she had things to get done, but right now it wasn't eating away at her like it normally would. That was probably a later issue. "Where have you been," she complained quietly after a moment. He seemed just to always be gone. Obviously, the last few weeks had been an exception, but even when she was spending all day with him it didn't feel like he was really there. It was all a bit scary while it was happening. But, now they were all back together again... and Sage was back a little bit too.

Sage chuckled softly in response to Maris comment, just curling in a bit more as he comprehended what she was mumbling. "Nowhere near as good as this," he mused after a moment, not moving anything but his lips. No, he would stay here for a while, and he'd keep Mari here too. Even if he had to sit on her. That didn't seem like it would be the case.....she was pretty content to lay there with him, it seemed like.

Mari felt a slight smile tug at her lips when he claimed nowhere was as good as this. She agreed. Nothing could top just relaxing in bed in the morning, especially when she got to do that with Sage. She looked up after a moment and flashed him the smallest, most tired smile before pecking him on the chin, then curled back up next to him. "Can you stay here then?" she asked quietly. Nowhere was better than this, and she wasn't about to let him go anywhere other than this, either. Not for at least another hour, anyway. She'd missed him all too much for that.

Sage hummed softly when she pressed her lips to his chin, a soft smile forming on his face at the touch. At her words, he chuckled softly, just shifting so their legs were tangled up together and all that. "Believe me, I'm not going anywhere," he mumbled into her hair, which he'd buried his face in. "Not any time soon." He'd get hungry eventually, but until then....he was staying right here.
