@Sting, ah makes sense. You said they are called honey eaters? I have heard of bee eaters. Saw them at the Bronx zoo once!

You are right. I always grew up with them being called hummingbirds. but a quick google tells me ours are different to yours.
Still nectar lovers, but not as much 'humming' activity

@Sting, you live in Australia right? If so I am positive there aren't hummingbirds there. Sorry.

09:30:31 Sting
Actually they are "Honey-eaters"
Sunni

Bird it would make sense, a lot of read dye in our food has been known to cause problems in the body.
I may not be 100% right, I believe Cancers and urinary problems.
I was all ways to avoid red dye in food and drinks growing up because of an over active bladder.

09:28:46 Sting
we have them here too. Also bee-eaters.
Hummingbird Meadows
09:27:10 Bird
@Sting, yeah hummingbirds are only found in North and South America.

@Sunni, I haven't done research, but I have heard similar things about red dye. They don't need it to be attracted to the feeder.
Narran Park
09:23:55 Sting
I need to look into it.
I dont think feeding hummingbirds is much of a thing here in Australia.

It should be though!
Sunni

Bird she was running around filling all the feeders during the conversation.
She has about 6 of them.
She makes the sugar water herself.
She says the red dye in it is bad for them.

Talking about hummingbirds for an hour sounds like something someone who is on the spectrum might do. I can be guilty of steering the topic away to something that interests me.

It took her ages to tell me the doctor tried diagnosing me with autism as a kid. She wasn't happy about that answer and told them "nope she isn't."

Bird not to my knowledge, if anything she is very OCD.

I'd say tier 2 in my opinion. Maybe even close to tier 1.

I'd say tier 2. Your shadows, lighting, body prep, and background are all absolutely stunning!! But the mane and tail could use a little work!

Here are some tutorials that really helped me with my manes and tails:

*quiet cheering*
Thank y'all so much!!! I can draw hair really well on paper, but I'm using a mouse for my art x3 I'm getting a new Wacom tablet for Christmas though, so y'all should hopefully see my manes and tails improve quite a bit :D
-
@Azure~ Yayy!! What do you think could be improved? Like I said, I use a mouse so tilt and pressure sensitivity aren't a luxury I have yet xD
-
@Markhor~ I actually use Willow's tutorial a lot, and have read through Zombs xD My favorite(and most used) by far is Eps Tutorial Compendium lol

This is beautiful. At the moment, T2 would probably suit you, but once you get the mane/tail down you'll be golden!
I also recommend taking the time to get the hooves to blend into the bg a little more :) Love the pattern work!! <3

Thank you<3 It's not quite done yet, I've been working on it since the filly was born xD I changed the BG midway through so that's why the toe grass is a little weird lol

I'm super proud if the pattern ^^ That was my first time doing white markings like that so I'm really happy with how it came out<3<3

I would say High tier 3. Body prep/pattern work looks great, but the background, lighting, and grounding need tons of work. As well as the mane/tail. You have a great start but are not quite there (:

Thanks Ducky! I hadn't finished the grounding so it wasn't the greatest, and I'm currently reworking the mane, so I'll post the finished product in a few minutes and I'd love the hear what you think of it then<3<3

Could you elaborate a little more on the background and lighting? I'd really love to know how you think I could improve it :D
