Oh sorry I misunderstood your reply, it honestly varies but maybe a day or three? Sometimes longer, I don’t usually take much notice

Sorry, a bit of account hopping here

Yeah but what I meant is do they sell fast?
Golden Crest

I list them straight away, I personally don’t train them then sell (mainly from side accounts). They’re usually SD foals and it saves setting them free if someone can use them for showing. I tend to give them away on this account because I get more of them (due to more horses to breed) and I don’t wan to buy more space to keep them whereas on my other accounts I have the room because I don’t breed as many

But how long do you keep them before selling them?

I have sold heaps of E colts for more than 1k and it costs nothing than the breed approval fee to breed them (with my own mares) so there is a small profit there if one wants to do it

Some people buy cheap ungelded colts for gelding quests but I dont think it makes big difference. Not at low showing levels
Galloping_Gems
05:15:16
selling a non gelding does that earn more money?
ArcticLights
05:14:41 Ceci / (Call me) AL
Geldings train faster than stallions/mares yes
Galloping_Gems
05:14:05
does not gelding the foals earn more money?
ArcticLights
05:13:05 Ceci / (Call me) AL
Chance is that you will spend more money breeding foals from him than you will earn selling

thank you

First off, whoa. Goes to show how busy I've been lately that I didn't realize the forum moved haha!

Second, anyone attending Equine Affaire in Ohio this weekend?? Izzie and I were asked to do an in hand demonstration for the two Arabian demonstrations, and we are also doing the conformation and breed characteristic demo as well! We will be there on Saturday!

So, Equine Affaire was AMAZING! Hands down the most amazing opportunity we've ever been offered! We had just so much fun and Izzie truly enjoyed all the little kids! Like marching over to a stroller since they held the best kids (tiny babies are her FAVORITE!) Wasn't rude at all, and totally hammed it up for multiple families that wanted their picture taken with her. It was just amazing!

I had two videos made too :D this one is just our ride in the morning before all the excitement. Not our most amazing ride ever, but pretty nice for having not worked in nearly a week, and at least 2 weeks since she had cantered LOL!

https://youtu.be/7dic2ySfIHg

This one contains a lot of the riding from the first video, but has some clips from the in hand demonstrations :D

https://youtu.be/6LmvH264Z3Y

If you're on Facebook, and follow Horse Network, you'll see us in their video from Equine Affaire :D we feel so famous to have been highlighted there!

Oh, and another big development! Izzie now has a blog!

How wonderful! You both are such a super duo! I have so enjoyed watching all her progress from when you first brought her home. She has come so very far!

I will be stalking her blog <3
