Hahaha Versa! Nalo was the opposite! He didn't like his bubbler, so it got turned off. He has to put up with the sponge filter bubbles, though, which is probably why he hangs out at the HOB filter!

My oldest betta lived almost until 8 years, it was wild. Named him Paarthurnax because he just, seemed eternal lol

I did silk plants in mine with driftwood

Live plants are wonderful for bettas. If not live, silk is also good. Just never hard plastic, they tend to tear their flowy fins on them

I miss having fish. I had two male bettas (seperate tanks obviously). One had tetra friends and the other had guppy friends. I also had snails in there. Their tanks were huge. I miss them <3

I was planning on a sponge filter. I am not turned off by water changes once a week. I am mostly just deciding if I should do live plants IF I get a betta.

I also got a bubbler which he went absolutely ballistic about every time I turned it off. If it wasn't on, he was so mad lol

I have a betta with snails in a 20 gallon. It stays pretty clean

I would've done live plants but my betta kept attacking and breaking them every chance he got. So I did silk. And then resorted to a sponge filter because the water flow was too much for him lol

@Charm, lol that is different!

I do keep a HOB (hang on back) filter in my betta tank, as well as a sponge filter. However, I have a metric shit-ton of live plants that break up the water flow. And my betta seems to defy all the rules and actually likes hanging out near the outflow of the filter *glares lightly at Nalo* he also made friends with two female guppy fry I tossed in for him to snack on, so now he has friends, which I never figured would happen.

I have a 135 gallon tropical tank, a 40 gallon guppy tank that I (regretfully) neglect, and a 20 gallon tank. The 20 gallon is my betta tank and requires the absolute most work to keep it clean. The smaller the tanks, the more difficult they are to maintain, in my opinion!

Bettas are also tropical, so they require a heater. And they're very sensitive to filters with any kind of water flow, and require sponge filters instead therefore

Yes. 10% water change a week, and checking water parameters frequently

@Versa, even a betta aquarium?
Versailles
09:45:27 Versa
I had a betta as a starter fish. With any fish, it's important to remember aquariums are a heck ton of work

Idk I only do breed shoes full of glitzy outfits. But maybe roach this mane. It looks more appealing.

(I do halter all the time)
Yes, his mane is fine. Be sure to clip both of their bridle paths, fetlock hairs, whiskers, and insides of the ears, and coronet bands. Be sure they're brushed, and get all grass/hay out of tails. Put some shine spray on their coats if you want as well.
A plain leather halter is perfectly acceptable. Just make sure it's well-fitted and isn't dirty.
You should wear a hat, and a belt is good too. Miss me's and a plaid button up shirt are great attire- just make sure the shirt is longsleeved and the sleeves are rolled down and it's tucked in.
Shows don't usually require proof of shots, just a current negative Coggins and you're good to go.
PM me if you want any more tips, this is already turning into a dissertation, haha
