When night came and the crowds has disappeared Adeline made her move... she went down the same door she'd saw the young man being taken down following the trail of blood that had been left behind... her brother had taught her some tracking skills in case she ever found herself lost... weather it be in the forest or in a place she didn't know... she could tell weather prints were old or new and follow them... Animals would lead her to water and safe foods to eat or to civilization or in this case? To a wounded animal (man) being held in a cage... when she saw him in the cell her heart ached for him. She struggled for a few heartbeats before she finally managed to slip inside... the flat shoes she was wearing pattering softly on the floor of the cell as she tried to avoid the blood. |

Gale snapped awake as he turned his head around,seeing a new figure.He quickly dragged himself to the back of the cell,fresh blood staining his back.With a quieter agonized cry,he slumped against the wall,eyes wild,darting back and forth. "Please,no more.I-I can't do anymore.I was just trying to feed my family,and my friend." He stutters quickly,trying to back farther into the cell but could'nt.Instead he shrank down against the wall,smearing blood on the chill grey stone.A sweat broke out across his chest,either from the pain or from fright.He could'nt tell,however.His eyes had a frightned look,scarred and scared.Gale clenched his jaw,biting his tounge to prevent himself from saying anything that would get him put through more agony. |

Adeline took her cloak off "Shhh..." She told him "I'm not here to hurt you... I'm here to hopefully prevent you from being hurt..." She said her voice soft and warm speaking to him similar to how a mother would speak to her crying child to calm him "Be quiet and I'll take you from this awful hellish place..." She assured him "But you gotta help me out here too..." She said gently "Can you do that?" She asked. |

"And how would I know that?" He snapped,not trusting her a single bit.Gale smugged his face a bit,mindset solid as rock. Gale quieted,listening,softening. "Maybe.Depends on if I can prevent myself from practiclly screaming from my back.If I can keep my mouth shut,sure.If not,find somebody else." He mutters,not wanting to go either way. 'Hellish Place' She had said.She was'nt wrong,either.The place was a land of wait,fear,and sometimes,guilt.It reeked of blood,sweat,and fear in his cell,adding even worse to the experiance.He shifted,wincing. |

"Look, trust me or don't trust me... I don't blame you for not but have a little faith..." She told him "I'm risking my neck for your ass." She retorted sharply despite her voice being quiet as she removed the belt from around the waist of her dress and put it between his teeth "Bite on that if it hurts instead of shouting." She instructed "Now turn around." She ordered "I've gotta clean the blood up a little so it won't leave a trail for them to follow before I put the cloak on..." She said taring the end of the skirt of her dress draping the cloak over her shoulder as she waited. |

"And why are you helping me?" He asks,taking the belt between his teeth and facing his back towards her,the dried blood and new blood still painting his back. He did'nt know who this woman was but,she seemed different. Considering she was 'risking her neck for his ass',just as he risked his life for his family. Oh great.Now she's saying she's going to clean the blood.Good luck with that.I swear i'm going to rip a hole in this belt with my teeth at this point. Gale thought,already biting down as he sat up and turned his back to her. He still sweat,it mixing into the blood and stinging the cuts.The cuts rippled across his skin,back raw with dried and new blood. |

Adeline glanced over his shoulder just barely catching his battered face in the light that came into his cell "Because you don't deserve this." She told him "You're young... You may have made... many mistakes... but you deserve a chance to correct them." She told him softly "I'm tired of seeing people being robbed of the chance to ammend their mistakes..." She said simply as she cleaned him up best she could ripping up her skirt more and making a few makeshift bandages for the wounds before she put the cloak over his shoulders "Now... let's get you out of here... my brother and I will help you." She told him gently helping him to his feet and wrapping his arm around her neck "Keep biting that if you want to make it out of here with your head..." She told him. Before they knew it they were back in the Avian kingdom... the young man was in a nice soft warm bed by a crackling fire whilst she, a doctor and her brother did their best to tend to his wounds. |

"I do deserve it.I failed to-" He abrubtly stopped,biting down on the belt as she even so touched his back.Gale's muscles tensed,the sweat errupting even more. He pulled the cloak over his face aswell,hiding his identity from the night. With that he darted after her,staying as silent as possible,not wanting to distract any night dwellars. He stayed quiet as he took the belt in his mouth again,putting half his weight on her and only half on him. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ As they reached the kingdom he sank into the bed,warmed by the fire. A large bed,all to himself. Even if he winced every time they tended to the wounds and even if he wanted to rip the medicene from their hands and dump it all on his shredded back,he still appreciated the room.And medical care.And jail break. |

Once the wounds had been cleaned well and a nice thick pultace was put onto them he was bandaged and put into some clean clothes while his old ones and the cloak bathed in the orange light of the crackling fire. Once he was resting a bit more comfortably Andre took his sister out into the hall. "Are you out if your damn mind!?" He hissed. "No." She said simply "I just did what you couldn't big brother." She told him before she turned on her heels and went back into the room putting a few more logs onto the fire and double checking the bandages underneath the covers before she pulled the covers onto him more nodding with approval before she grabbed a book off the shelf and began reading aloud softly to him in hopes that maybe her words would be of some kind of comfort to him in his sleep. |

Gale softly moaned as they put the pultace on,along with the bandages. He shut his eyes while they banaged him,trying to ignore the pain.His brow furroed and mind set on leaving the second he could walk.Gale felt as the covers were draped over him,causing him to break a small smile.Oh the years he'd lost track of when he'd last lay in a full,soft,warm bed. Her voice was soothing,providing him subtle comfort as he drifted off into sleep. And so Gale slept peacefully,a small smile sketched on his face. Besides the usual straightened or pain-filled face popping in ever so often,he slept well with just the smallest smile tugging on the corners of his chapped lips. |
