Trying to shift things around in the compounds is so hard on mobile. I definitely think there should be another option to do it as well

thing with mine is i somehow got it to work once, moved a pasture to it, but now i cant delete it because its not empty. i cant empty it because i cant get it to work again- it was a miracle that it worked at all to begin with. now clicking and dragging anywhere within a compound or on a pasture/barn just drags the while compound smh

I've never tried to make compounds before and seemingly I won't in the future either. Deleted that pastureland again if I cannot put a pasture in there. Shame, because I really liked that picture.

I just tried to build a pastureland for my memorial garden, that worked, but when I tried to actually drag my memorial garden in there it did not work, it only switches all pastures up and down and the memorial one stays empty. Is there any trick to that on how to 'de-anchor' the memorial from the other pastures?

Awesome!

I did a quick forum search for "Member Show" and "Arena" to see if I could find you any more information.

Unfortunately, the most relevant to your questions is:
-HEE Click-

But it's a year old.

Some interesting bits were about players asking how to participate in member shows with some quick tips on what horses to pick for the most profit.

- if you get your arena up and running, you're welcome to message me and I'll send a couple entries your way

Hi,

1. Yes. According to the Game Guide under Member Shows and Arenas - Only those horses entered who are in the top percentile come away with prize money, which is directly related to the entry fee.
2. I believe so (I don't have an arena).
It's important to note the best case scenario is to have all classes with the maximum entries to get the best return.
There's a happy medium of the entry fee to the number of participants.

Personally, I like to enter with fees below 10k and above 200 ebs.

Check out the member shows to see what others are doing. Click through the shows and see how many entrants in each class, their fee, and how often they run (every three days or weekly, or club based).

Some days there are a ton of Cross Country shows and other days there aren't any.

Heyy!
Hope everyone is well... I have 2 questions
1. Do the member shows that have higher entry fees have higher prizes?
2. If I make the entry fee higher for a member show (I own an arena), will I get more money?

Depending on your barn and place you ride you might be able to lease a horse in exchange for doing chores, I think mostly you have to pay though

Thank you!

Some barns will let you work off a lease, or work in exchange for board (I've worked for board at three of the four barns I've ever been at). If possible in your situation, find somebody who doesn't have a lot of time for their horse and see if they won't let you take care of it in exchange for rides. It's a win-win. The horse gets attention, the owner doesn't have to worry about it getting neglected, and you get a horse! :)

I'm considering leasing a horse, is there any way I can do that for free? Or does it always cost money?

If only it were that easy! I am a pretty shy person around adults I don't really know. Last night my dad told me to just ask my neighbour if I can just brush her horse, and I refused to even consider it, even though she's super nice and friendly. I would love to do that, so maybe I'll get over this soon.

My mom used to say, "the worst thing they can do is say no." I was TERRIFIED when I asked my old trainer about being her working student. Like swallowing down tears. But I did it anyways, and she said no... and then went out and found another stable that would be able to suit me better. Now I work there, and it's the best thing that's ever happened to me. You never know what doors will open just by you asking.

I completely feel you! XD I am terrified of speaking to any adult. Even people my age that I don't know. Then, if I do ask or answer someone I just overthink afterwards and be really embarrassed about what I said 😂 I agree with First light though, the worst they can say is no

My dads saying the exact same thing to me. Hopefully I'll see her soon, and then I may be able to ask.

Thank you! She's kind of busy in the week, so maybe I can help out with some of her chores.

Shed probably really appreciate the weight off her shoulders. Owning a horse is hard, physically and mentally sometimes. It's worth it though

Owning a horse is a completely new ball park. I would recommend leasing %100 more than owning for your first time out of lessons. On top of board, farrier, teeth, chiropractic, etc. vet bills can be a huge pain, wether it's hauling them there (For cost thats + a trailer and a truck if you don't already have one) or paying the vet to come out just to see your horse (+ the cost of whatever is wrong) Leasing in my opinion is much better for starting, the owner sometimes provides tack, and usually pays for all vet bills, and everything else. (I used to have to pay for my lease horse's shoes every other trim, but that's it)
