Christmas cactus are pretty hardy and have really pretty flowers in winter. Only killed one when I forgot it was in the room with some 8 week old kittens who thought it was a great toy.

I have been summoned.

Aloe vera can be a good option like has been said. Snake plants are also a good option as well.

Bird- get an Aloe Vera. The love being ignored, seem to die when soaked or baked, but always come back if left alone after you think they are dead. Wonderful things! Look cool when they grow happy too.

I use Equilibra 500 Feed Balancer which helps alot with keeping my 2 ottb's weight nicely, gives them a good diet so they don't gain or loose weight and i just pop that in with some Tiger Oats, Alfalfa Oil and some Baileys Chaff x and usually half 2 carrots or an Apple. That just helps with there weight and gives them the coat care they need on my opinion and they are all good for getting horse back into a shape

My ex show jumper Dutch warmblood gets MSM for his joints. My injured (permanently) 22 year old TB gets SmartFlex Rehab pellets for his dislocated and displaced kneecap. It helps with inflammation and has kept him comfortable and alive for over a year longer than the vet gave him. My two yearlings get Vitamin E.

Everyone but the Dutch Warmblood gets Strategy Professional Formula GX from Purina. The Warmblood is a rescue and needs to gain weight. He's on a mix of Purina Healthy Edge and Sentinel Performance LS Formula.

How do you like the MSM and the SmartFlex Rehab? My 23yo gelding shredded his tendons in his hind left fetlock 6 months ago and messed up his stifle in the same leg 2 years ago and im working on getting him back in shape as he is finally not limping.

The MSM works fantastically for my Warmblood. I use it for him because he's out of shape (was 500lbs underweight when I got him) and had a very hard-on-the-joints professional show jumping career as a youngster (with someone in NY). He's a bit crackly, but on the MSM, he's not crackly at all and runs around wth my yearlings no problem which is something to see considering he's 18.3 and over 1400lbs.

Unfortunately, my thoroughbred's injury isn't something healable, but those Smartflex pellets keep him comfortable and help a ton with the inflammation. He dislocated and displaced his kneecap almost 3 years ago. He also tore the ligament that holds it in place, so repair wasn't really an option with that on top of his age and a rough history (before I bought him). Those pellets have kept him happy and a part of my life for (as of right now) over a year longer than the vet gave us.

Honestly, my biggest recommendation would be to call SmartPaks and talk to them about what your looking for. They are incredibly helpful and can get you all sorts of information about their offered supplements.

I use Simplifly and Electrolytes for my horse. The simplifly helps keep all
bugs off your horse through the summer months. Electrolytes helps keep my horse hydrated (:

I use SmartPaks with my gelding (it makes it easier for the barn staff) and he's on Stress Dex, Smart Hoof and Bute-Less.

The Stress Dex is because he won't drink enough water without it, so he's on it year round. He's on Smart Hoof and Bute-Less because he's a sport horse in a pretty heavy workout program so those supplements are just preventative measures to keep him happily working

Another vote for Smartpak. My horse is on SmartPituitary Senior pellets, Cocosoya, and Smartpak's MSM pellets. She's a senior with Cushing's and ringbone, and these really help keep her sound and healthy.
