Entered horses not showing

I know this has been reported in the past (years ago on the old forum I think; I searched and nothing came up) but I can't remember what the explanation was, and it has not been fixed.

Yesterday I entered 584 horses in regular shows. Tonight, only 376 of them actually showed. Because of this, I actually lost a few thousand ebs; if all the entered horses had shown (based on the profit margin on the ones that did) I would have made around 140k in profit just this one night. So it's not an insignificant issue.

While I really hope this gets fixed, even an explanation for why this happens would be appreciated. Thanks.

Those timestamps just show the last time that action happened.

Some of the 504 horses entered may be from before shows ran on the 6th.
