Simply put, she's not a good show horse and is pretty weak. Running under the assumption that she's always been trained in evening, she's probably closer to being a SPS opposed to a PEP.

The main thing that's causing issue is the weak heart and it's going to continue giving you grief.

• Cross Country - In Cross Country, a horse's score is based on how many penalties they receive. Penalties are bad. If your horse has a refusal, they will get additional penalties. If your horse is eliminated (rider fall, etc), they will place last. In cross country, the amount of heart a horse has affects whether they refuse a fence or are eliminated. The horse with the lowest amount of penalties wins the class.
