(sorry, the last response apparently didn't go through when I sent it ToT) Sage sort of gave Mari a small grin when he heard her laugh, thanking her with a soft breath as she handed him the plate and glass of water. He didnt get through much, just like she'd assumed, but he did get through most of what was on the plate easily enough. It tastes good, as always, so he figured staying awake for a while in order to eat it was worth it. Once he was done though, he moved to set the plate in the sink and peck her head lightly. "I'm going to bed," he noted with a quiet laugh. "You'll be up soon," he asked, sort of just waiting for her response before nodding and wandering up the stairs, getting comfortable in the bed and letting himself drift off.

(No worries!) Mari gave a slight smile when he pecked her head, and nodded softly to him after a moment or two. He did look tired. It made sense, he'd been busy and was still healing up a little more she supposed. She looked up as he walked off though, and kind of just got busy cleaning up the kitchen before making her way up to bed. Sage looked exhausted, already passed out and sprawled out over the bed. She got ready and kind of slipped in the little bit of space on the bed that Sage wasn't occupying and slipped off to sleep fairly quickly.

Thankfully, sage got a decent night's sleep that night. No dreams of any kind, no restlessness that woke him up at some ungodly hour, nothing happening around him to jolt him awake thinking some bad thing was happening. It was just....peaceful. Good. Maybe he was making some progress. He certainly hoped so. When he woke the next morning, it was nearly ten o'clock, but he supposed that didn't really matter. He just curled in where Mari was still holding him, letting out a soft huff of air and relaxing again.
