Lorelei whimpered and nodded, cuddling up to him, burying her face in his chest. "I love you..."

"I love you too. Always." He said softly, kissing her head and holding her close. "Do you feel...safer with me here?"

Lorelei nodded, "I do,"

"I'll alwayss protect you. Just don't hurt yourself, baby." He pauses, sighing. "Will you be my girlfriend?" He asks softly, pecking her cheek

Lorelei smiled, glancing up at him. She nodded, "Yes, I'll be your girlfriend," she kissed him.

Kai grinned and kissed her back

Lorelei smiled, and kept kissing him. She was actually happy with him. She felt loved and protected for once.

Kai sighed, breaking away. He was physically and emotionally exhausted and would love to just kiss her for hours, but he hysically was too tired. "I'm sorry, baby, but I can't right now. I'm half asleep." He said softly, his voice thick with sleep

"Oh... okay," she replied, just cuddling in. Admittedly, she was a bit disappointed, but she didn't say anything. Instead she just cuddled in and drifted off.

He rubbed her back until she fell asleep, his eyes shutting and he fell asleep as well.

Kai woke up with the sun across his face and her hair, making him smile. He ran his fingers gently through her hair and appreciated her sleeping face. "God, you're perfect. So beautiful. I love you." He said to her, knowing she likely couldn't hear him. He kissed her head gently.
