Oh wow, yeah, you were an infant! Whatever your parents did has nothing to do with you at that point. I don't know why someone would judge a kid for having divorced parents. That's just wild.

I once went on a double date where the other’s guy talked about how traumatic their parents amicable divorce was and how we didn’t know how divorce could be damaging for kids (they were 17 when it happened). While divorce can be traumatic and damaging, he was talking to a table full of people with divorced parents

Yeah the special interest talk isn't bad. Just can be for the wrong person lol

The talking about yourself the whole time tho?? That's crazy. I always worry that I talk too much about myself just in one simple conversation lol

I have a question regarding showmanship and horsemanship,
are they the same thing?
Can showmanship classes be undersaddle aswell? or is it inhand/halter only?
i sound stupid but i just want to know before i make an oopsie IRL

Showmanship is a class judged on equitation. There is usually a pattern involved in it as well. The judge will pay attention to accuracy/neatness of pattern, the grooming of the horse, and stuff like that :) It is one of my favorite classes because there are so many things to pick on, yet not everyone likes it because it is completely in hand xD I love this class, but I highly recommend watching others, researching what judges like, getting feedback on yourself <3
Horsemanship is judged on Conformation of the horse, and usually has a basic thing/pattern you follow that allows the judge to see the walk, trot, and inspect it. Showmanship was actually created to help people show in showmanship

I am basing my answers on AQHA/APHA standard western classes. If you are anywhere else or showing in any other breed show my answers might not be correct

Showmanship - A class to present your "showmanship". You complete the class in hand. The patterns consist of walking, trotting, turns on the haunches, backing up, and presenting to the judge. You will be judged based on your ability to present your horse, so make sure that you are making all your moves intentional and clear

Horsemanship - Horsemanship is a pattern ridden undersaddle to show your "horsemanship skills". The patterns are usually simple like showmanship and you will be expected to walk/jog/lope, back up, spin left and right, and possibly a lead change depending on your level. You will be judged on your ability to ride quietly and smoothly navigate the pattern

I recommend watching a couple of youtube videos of both classes from the AQHA World Show to get the right idea of the "style" of the class and what to expect!

Good luck! And let me know if you have any more questions let me know!

The showmanship and horsemanship classes I've done have been in hand only but I believe they exist under saddle too!
Showmanship normally has a more complicated pattern with this like turns on the forehand, turns on the haunches, backing up, walking and jogging in hand, doing circles, etc. and then squaring up for the judge.
Horsemanship is a lot simpler, the ones I did were normally just circles or squares and you walked first and then jogged.

ahh thanks for answering my questions guys
I made some testspatterns and i labled the one showmanship but i wanted to make sure it was fine to put it under showmanship since there's a 90 degree turn on hind quarters and a reinback.

In my experience at stock horse/quarter horse shows, showmanship is always in hand, horsemanship is always under saddle. Both have fairly simple patterns.
