The better the rating, the better the horse should do in that discipline (in most cases). That's why EEE+ gelds can make some good showing money if trained right :)

what about SPE XD

Yeah anything less then a PPP rating tends to just be better released
Sagewood Stables
03:14:05
aah okay ill try to only keep PPP then for comps :) thank you
Alpine Acres
03:13:30 Lily
yeah, SSS is generally considered a 'bad' rating. For gelds, you want them to be PPP+ ideally with some E ratings

ooh he's lovely! Not worth much as a gelding though, anything below PPP doesn't make much

Appys generally have some sort of spots, if you just look through KNN or any other breed that has appy then you'll see that there are many variations

yup they can be caught, not too difficult when capturing knabs as they're always appaloosa :)

Did he get a name in the meantime?

We've been trying to decide on one, I have to ask my trainer who owns him what she thinks, but I've been thinking maybe Cappuchino or Cafe au lait would be cute :)

Thank you! I absolutely adore him
.
I've been teaching him to give kisses, hes almost got the concept haha
Also been desensitizing him to ropes and halters, I know he wasnt treated very nicely before he got here so I'm not sure what his experiences were with ropes, but he becomes quite hesitant when I have one. Hes getting better at it though!
He likes pats a lot. When I walk by he'll call out to me 😂♥️
We have named him Cappuchino!

mr cappuccino now calls out to me everytime my car shows up lol
He loves pets and cookies. Yesterday was the first time we tried teaching him to load in the trailer. He is super calm around the trailer, and hes trying to get in it, but he hasnt quite figured out that he has to step up to get in it 😂
But we'll keep practicing :D
I still havent halter trained him, but I'm working on it
I'll be there either Thursday or Friday and try to halter him
He follows me everywhere and has very good recall though.

I was walking down the road and I saw Mr Cappuccino
He only had three legs, one eye and he liked to listen to country music and he was quite tall and slim and he smelt really bad and that morning he got up early and he hadn't had any coffee and he was always getting up to mischief but he was quite good looking
He was a spunky hanky panky cranky stinky dinky lanky honky tonky winky wonky donkey

😂 these are great omg
.
Yesterday cappuccino had his first introduction to the halter! :)
He did very well. Got to the point where he would stick his nose in himself.
I didnt buckle it, but just got him used to it going on and off his nose and got him used to the jingly janglies of the buckle. He was super calm and interested and also very cuddly yesterday lol.
Hes got such a sweet personality.
Hes recall is also really good!
Once I have him haltered and practice a little in the arena, I'll start leading him around the property and then turn him out in the pasture eventually :D
I'm also going to teach him to pick up his feet once hes haltered trained because he needs a farrier soon.

Yesterday (April 16th)
Was a big day for cappuccino! He had the halter completely on for the first time and buckled it. He was not a huge fan of it, but he didn't seem to mind that much either. He got lots of pats and some cookies
Also taught him to trailer load. He's still learning to unload though haha
We're going to keep working on these so that he'll do them like a pro :)

He got lots of cuddles yesterday. Didn't have the time to do anything else, but he really liked being patted

Im buying cappuccino :)
Today I fly sprayed him for the first time and he was so good about it! I've also been practicing working towards picking up his feet so they can get trimmed. Right now he lets me touch both his front legs and hold them for about half a second but gets a little skittish. But hes progressing very nicely
Hes so calm and friendly and outgoing now and hes really such a lovely little guy
