If you add beneficial bacteria which you can get at pet stores it can make it faster :)

With cycling though you have to take into account a brand new fresh tank can run forever but unless something is put into the system, it will never be cycled because the beneficial bacteria doesn't have anything to feed on

@Zz, just a month is nothing. I can do that. My research says 10-12 weeks which is like 3 months!

Well if you are wanting just one, a betta is the way to go. They are super friendly and personable and very easy to care for

I second the research. Specifically research the nitrogen cycle. Running it for A week isn’t enough usually. Mine took a month

I think I am just scared of having multiple fish vs just one.

I would just say overall ALWAYS do your research! Every fish needs something different such as tank size, food. etc. Also some fish don't get along with others. :) Plus what works for one person might not work for another.

Corys are cute but they theyre bottom dwelling, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have something else to hang in the middle

No they are small. You can even get pygmy ones which are really tiny

@Angels, don't they need bigger tanks though?
Insignia Elites

@bird yes! they scavenge the substrate for food! But watching them breed is really inserting! Mine do every so often but the eggs always get eaten. They are considered a bottom dweller :)

@Stardust, sounds like she has just had a long day.

Yesss I love corys. I always add them to my tank because they eat leftover food that sinks to the bottom and help reduce ammonia spikes

Ok so this is a genuine question for any parents on HEE - My mom said dinner's ready and I said what are we having. She said chicken, shrimp, and salad. I said what kind of salad and she started freaking out and telling me I'm rude and not supportive. Now here's the question - Is there a reason for this?

Corydoras sound fun too, but evidently they only stay at the bottom of the tank?

Goldfish and plants don't mix well xD same as places they turn up the sand too much most plants can't root

I want to get duckweed or something similar cause it’s super prolific but the two goldfish I have in there at the moment would eat it all XD they’ll probably be moving on to a friends pond soon though

SO. Ol' Eps is finally trying to get into manual showing, and it actually has been going pretty proficient with an income of about 150k to 200k a week and growing, give or take. (Why the hell didn't I start doing this sooner?? 🤣) Eury's guide to showing helped out a TON. Anyone coming here looking for answers on showing, you can find that handy dandy thread here.

NOW onto the question, shall we? A lot of showing guides mention if you get a horse placing 1-3rd with perfect scores (0 for jumping and XC and 100% for dressage) to enter those horses into member shows, as from what I can tell, member shows are more profitable then the game generated shows? So when doing my entries today, I noticed I had a TON of horses with 100%s in dressage and a handful with 0s in XC and jumping. So I scurried my happy ass on over to member shows.. And was completely overwhelmed 😅

Does anyone have any advice for entering member shows aside from what horses to enter? I'm looking for information on how to decide WHICH member show to enter into. The entry fees vary widely from meager 100 eb entry fees all the way up to 30k, which surprisingly to me seems to be the most common entry fee. On top of this, does the payout go based off of how many people enter horses into the shows? Because when I looked, I've only ever seen shows with 1-3 people entered into each category, tops... And a LOT of them have no entries at all.

If you made it this far.. I thank you. Have a cookie for bearing with me lmao 🍪

When I enter member shows, I don't care how many are currently in it as your entery can inspire more to enter. That being said, it's usually split as a percentage. So the more u have in a show, the more u get for first place. Higher entery fees are higher rewards
