I am hoping to be able to buy the ten plus acres next to us eventually as well. :) It is just so much to properly take care of though

I've got about 16 acres of land. As long as it's set up properly and isn't literally starting from scratch, there isn't to much work. :)

Ohh. Yeah, that's going to be a lot of work then in the beginning. Generally though once everything is finished setting up though, work should be light.

Thank you! :)
They are my oldest mare and her colt from 2015.
And you would be very welcome, if you lived nearby. ;)
I do show them, but so far only at breeding approvals (I'm not sure if that's the kind of showing you mean - I'm not familiar enough with English to know the proper terms ;) ).

They are so gorgeous! You are blessed! The type of showing would probably be called conformation or halter classes here, and that plus dressage is what I would love to get into eventually :D

I looooove Gypsy Vanners!! <3
Wish I owned some myself!

Registries - look for the one that the big breeders use, or that overseas breeders approve of.

They large scale breeders I have seen from Texas use the GHS or GHRA from what I can tell. Both say that they work with overseas registries. The GHS is the oldest and was started by the man that first imported Gypsys to the US

Then it's probably the conformation and halter classes, I show mine in. :)
I'm a really bad rider myself, so no dressage classes for me. ;)

I honestly have grown up mostly riding western or bareback, due to the horses I was able to ride or afford as a teenager, but have always had a passion for English riding since I was little. All of my friends or instructors always thought I had come from formal English or dressage training from the way my seat is and light hands, among other factors, when they first watched me ride. So this is my chance to finally buy a dressage trained mount, and Gypsys at the same time xD
