Kais mother smiled, "Just like every other baby," she reassured her. She nodded, "Yes, thats right. Most of the issues don't happen during labor, so the birthing should be easy. The issues happen beforehand, which can injure the baby. Hopefully that won't happen, but if we catch a warning sign early we can prevent the issue,"

Cam cocked her head slightly after a moment, her shouders relaxing slightly. That was good... so the birth itself shouldn't have any abnormal issues, assuming she and the baby were healthy. She then pouted slightly. "Signs? What kind of signs would we be looking for?" She asked worridly. Of coutse, she'd read about it all... but it was nice to hear about it from someone she trusted.

"There won't be any signs until later in the pregnancy and they won't be noticeable until you get an ultrasound which is why we do them so frequently here,"

Camery nodded slowly, sort of looking thoughtful. She supposed if something was going that wrong during the birth then someone else could step in. The child wouldn't be royalty, but they'd be alive and that was all that mattered to her. "Okay... that's good to know, thank you," she chuckled gently after a moment or two.

Kais mother smiled gently at the girl. "Are you nervous about Kai delivering the baby?" She asked.

|
Cam glanced up a little, then gave a sort of gentle nod. "Sort of. I trust him an all, but you can't blame me for not wanting a twenty one year old to deliver my first born," she mused lightly.

Kais mother nodded, understandingly. "I know darling. But Kai has been delivering my children since he was 12," she sighed. "This won't be his first time doing this, I'd trust him over anyone else,"

Camery glanced back up at her, her brows pinching together. She never really understood the full extent of what Kai had been through. He'd been delivering his still born siblings for years, all because of his father. Because is father wasn't there to do it, because his father had hurt his mother during her pregnancies to the point that the babies didn't make it. He was so strong, and she never really appreciated it. "I know, and I do trust him," she whispered quietly. "I just... it's not something we do back home. It makes me nervous," she mused gently.

|
"I know darling," she reassured Kai. "But think of it this way. The nurses haven't ever delivered a child. Its been Kai for years, and my husband did one or two, but Kai has done countless of deliveries,"

|
Cam glanced up and gave a slow nod. Well... if Kai was the best option, that's what would happen. It still just felt odd - they had socialist doctors that would deliver babies back home. They'd get taught absolutely everything that could possibly go wrong. She sighed and nodded. "So Kai knows best, then," she breathed softly. "I want to do the Night Kingdoms traditions. I just wanted to make sure... you know, that both me and the baby would be safe."
