Im looking into scotch collie puppies. Hopefully I can get one soon. As soon as I can find some land LOL Also I've found a great husky breeder, going to be getting a female from them when I have more space aswell. |

could i just ask a question? :) Your husky's non castrated right? is it difficult having him in the house and is he dominant in playing with other dogs? I had to castrate mine since when i was reading about non castrated dogs there were things about them being quite difficult, non against it or anything just asking a question for future reference :,) |

Good question, I apologize for late reply Yes, hes unaltered/uncastrated When he was younger and we first got him, he had some humping issues, but we worked through them. We don't have any issues now Hes "the baby" and the lowest in hierarchy He sleeps on my bed (he also has two dog beds if he wants), and I can eat a hot meal with him next to me no problem. He is very loved, but also knows no shenanigans. With huskies physical force as a punishment doesn't work. When we feed him he goes and lays down on his bed, and stand by his food. We stare at him until he looks away, and then say good boy, come! And he gets to come and eat his meal. We also stand over him while he eats and pat him. I dont recommend this for other breeds, however it works very well in huskies. Huskies play very rough with other dogs and kinda bully small dogs lol. So he only really plays with other huskies. Other dogs he just hangs out at the other end of the park, steals their toys and runs away (inviting the chase me game, much to the other dogs confusion), and in general causes chaos lol However if you get a male puppy and you socialize him from when he is young (Lucky didn't get that sadly), you should have no problems. The only reasons I would castrate a male dog would be bad health, poor breeding quality, or another big red flag. Or if I wasn't planning on breeding that dog and there was an unaltered female in the house. . Whew that was long, sorry about that! |

I celebrated 4(!) years with Lucky yesterday. Its crazy to think about how long its been, and at the same time I can't believe its been 4 whole years. We've both come so far. I can still remember the day I got him. He's saved me so many times. I cant imagine my life without him, hes my whole world. I originally wanted to do an animation with the song Forever After All by Luke Combs (our song), but ran out of time. We did take some nice pictures though, here are a couple of them Man I love this dog <3 |

Hi! Sorry for the lack of updates Lucky and I are doing quite well I am teaching him a two new commands, he's catching on fast! First is steady, where I have him stand next to me to place weight on his shoulders (This is something they teach to service dogs, for example if their handler needs help getting off a bench, going up the stairs, etc.) We've practiced it in multiple scenarios and places, and he is doing fabulous! The second is place, where I point to something and he goes and stands there. This one he had a more difficult time getting, but in the end he figured it out! We are going to continue practicing both I am especially proud of him for the steady, as we've never done anything like this before, and he is doing so well! |
