Lorelei sniffled. "Well, we can either run away, go somewhere off the grid, or we could move in with my dad. He'd protect us,"

"But...would he hurt me?" Kai asked, open to it but weary

Lorelei shook his head. "He didn't hurt you when we told him we were back together,"

Kai bit his tongue and nodded. 'If you think he'll protect us--especially you when I'm away for anything for any amount of time--I'm alright with it. When would you like to pack?"

Lorelei smiled faintly and nodded, knowing he'd be nervous about it all. "Today?"

Kai nodded. "Let's go" He murmured softly, offering his hand to help her up

Lorelei nodded, taking his hand and walking with him.

Kai led her into the ouse, getting everything upstairs for her without her help so she didn't have to see the bodies or blood again. He brought the suitcases and a couple bags of books down, setting them by the door and packing her a snack and grabbing a blanket off the couch for her in the car. "Ready, darling?"

Lorelei looked through the things he'd packed when he brought them down. He'd grabbed everything, except he only grabbed an eighth of her library, they weren't any of her favorites either. She bit her lip, not wanting to make him go back upstairs or get them all even though she wanted them all... "Yeah... ready,"
