"Lorelei Bonetti, do not take any blame or place any guilt on yourself for this, okay? You did absolutely nothing wrong." Kai said softly, holding her close. "And I'm still here" He added, mentally correcting the sentence. Barely here, but here either way.

"But I almost lost you... what if you try to again?" She whispered, tears welling in her eye.

"Lorelei, I have you--my reason to live. I love you too much to do that with you here, especially when you make me smile and laugh and are happy. I promise that as long as I love you, I will never try to take my life again. I swear, my love."

Lorelei looked up into his eyes, seeing nothing but honesty and tenderness. She nodded. "Okay,"

Kai sighed and held her close. "Goodnight, baby" He said softly, pecking her neck and falling asleep

Lorelei cuddled in closed, clinging onto him. "Goodnight... I love you,"

Kai woke the next afternoon, still a bit tired but got up anyways. He walked to the kitchen, making Lorelei breakfast

Lorelei woke up not long after him, following the sweet scent of pancakes into the kitchen. She smiled, going over to him and kissing his cheek.

"There's my goddess" He said, shutting off the stove and picking her up. He held her close and kissed her. "How'd you sleep, baby?"

Lorelei giggled, holding onto him. "Very good," she smiled, leaning up and kissing him. "What about you?"
