Sage cuddled in for a while, groaning slightly as the kids woke and started to cry. They hurt his head at the moment, and he felt bad about it but he also couldn't really get to them to help or stop it.

Celeste kissed his head. "I've got them," she whispered to him softly before going over with Odessa and Xander to calm them down, change them and feed them.

Celeste's smile faded. They had to destroy the Empress before they could go home. "Do you want me to explain it to her?" she mouthed to Sage.

Sage ust shook his head with a sigh. How would they explain it all? He wanted the little girl to feel safe. "There's some things we need to do before we can go home," he told her softly.

|
Celeste sighed sadly. She wouldn'tve explained it, not really, but dumbed it down for her, make sure she felt safe here but that they couldn't go back home for a bit.
