Malakai Negri - The guard took the license out and looked at it. "Sir, this won't do you anything here. I'm going to need to take your weapons," he said, handing Jack back his gun license. "Ma'am, we need to know your destination or we're going to have to arrest you," |

Camery. Valatieri -
Camery watched carefully as Jack handed over his weapons. She just looked scared, but he, as always was calm and relaxed. He had the training... in any situation, he could get out of this if he had to.
She blew out a soft breath after a moment and shook her head. "We really can't do that, sir," she almost whispered, chewing the inside of her cheek.
Jack nodded in agreement.
"We're on official duty here. Our location is inside the Day Kingdom. We're just cutting through here as we lost our transport," he then added. |

Malakai Negri - The guards took Jacks weapons, pocketing them. "We must know the destination, or you will be arrested. Unless you would like to be escorted there," |

Camery Valatieri -
Camery just shook her head in response. She couldn't reveal to anyone who she was, or where the were going. That was the point of all this - so she'd be where only people she trusted know.
"Thats not possible," she whispered. Jack squeared up a little fed up of all this.
"You're going to have to arrest us, then. We can't disclose our location," he insisted. It didn't matter if they got arrested. They would be let out, but Cam had a feeling that it wouldn't help this rivalry. |

Malakai Negri - The guard nodded, pulling out their handcuffs. "Very well then," the guards said, walking around behind them, handcuffing their wrists together behind their backs. The guards walked them to the cart and loaded them into the back. One guard stayed behind with them, and the other drove the cart to the castle. |

Camery Valatieri -
Camery let out a soft hum in response to the guards comments. Her shoulders dropped, but the two of them complied quietly. Fighting wouldn't help. Jack was on edge. No harm would time to the princess, not a chance. This was better than fighting and trying to get away.
They soon arrived at the castle, though, and they were hustled into the cells. Camery was on edge, clearly, it was all terrifying to her. She didn't want to be anywhere near this castle.
Jack was seated next to her, his calm demeanour nothing but calming her a little. "Cam, don't worry. We won't be here for long," he hummed, resting his head back on the wall behind them. "You say it like you've done this before," she mused lightly to him, her voice quiet but trying to find amusement.
He shrugged lightly. "I'm trained for everything," he hummed thoughtfully. |

Malakai Negri - Malakai heard a soft knock on his door just before a maid entered. Malakai quickly wiped his tears away, fixing himself. "Sir, two Day Kingdom citizens were found trespassing. They refused to tell the guards their destination. They're in the cells now," the maid informed him. Malakai nodded and stood up. The maid left, and Kai walked down to the cells, outside, a cold, hard shell, and inside a hollowed-out, stressed, depressed, heartbroken boy. He entered the cells and was faced with her. He broke, his jaw dropping a bit, eyes widening a bit, gaze softening. He was still so deeply in love with her. Kai just stared at her for a moment, deer in headlights. He soon snapped out of it, turning to the guards who brought them in. "I don't care what they did, let them out, bring them to wherever they need to go," he muttered to them. The guards nodded as Kai turned away and made a beeline for the exit, holding his broken self together. Kai made her uncomfortable, he was the enemy and he lied to her. He resented himself for everything that he had done, who he was. All Kai wanted to do was make her happy, keep her safe, and if that meant he wasn't in the picture, then he would leave her alone, disappear from the face of this earth, attempt to hold his broken pieces together until he secumed to death. |

Camery Valatieri -
Camery sat for a while, waiting for... something to happen. She didn't know what. To be let out, to be tormented, or for something she didn't know.
She closed her eyes for what seemed like forever, until she heard the soft muttering of a familiar voice. She looked up, her breath hitching for a moment.
He looked exhausted. A shell of that strong man she'd spent the last few months with. She sighed, standing up. Jack was passed out as they were set free... well, nearly free. They were still being escorted out of the kingdom. She sighed softly, knowing she'd have to wait.
Her gaze softened slightly as she watched Malakai leave. She was scared of him. Still, she loved him. She wanted to apologise, at every least. For all of this. He really seemed like he believed everything he was saying. "Kai," she muttered under her breath, her brows pinched softly together, hoping heard her. |

Malakai Negri - Malakai froze when he heard her. He hesitated. Kai thought she didn't want to see him, he didn't know if he was ready to see her either, but he also didn't know when the next time he'd see her again. Malakai took a deep breath and turned to her, walking towards her, but stopped about 10 paces away from her. Kai could tell she was afraid of him, and he hated that fact, but he didn't want to scare her any more than he was. He gazed at her, eyes full of love, adoration, sadness, longing, and heartbreak. "...Yes Princess?" he replied softly, just as he did all those months they were together. |

Camery Valatieri -
Camery stood still for a moment, letting the guards take those god awful handcuffs off her. Her face was drawn and tired, knowing they would have a long way to travel.
She looked back up at Malakai, though, her features soft as she looked over at him. He walked towards her, and she froze for just a moment. Was he angry at her, for chasing him away? For telling her father? All guards but one filed out, the only one left being the one that would be taking them to the boarder.
She just watched him for a moment. Watched as he stood across the room, so deflated. He looked tired. Like he was carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders. Well... he was now, sort of. He was nothing but a shell now.
A frown crossed her face as she listened to him. His voice was so soft. It told her more than she needed to know. A hand came up to her wrists and gently rubbed the red lines where the handcuffs had been too tight.
"I'm sorry," she said simply, her eyes doey and her shoulders slumped. She wasn't sure what she was apologising for... maybe chasing him out, maybe because of her father, or maybe it was something entirely different. |
