Lorelei cupped his face, making him look at her. "Kai, you treat me wonderfully," she whispered, her own tears welled in her eyes. "You treat me like a princess. I don't deserve it, but you do," she whispered.

"No, you deserve everything I give you and more. You had to stop me from doing it because I wanted to not feel scared--I wanted to escape reality. How does that make me good?"

"Honey, that's okay to want to escape reality. But there's other ways to do it, and doing it isn't the healthiest way to do it," she whispered softly. "Youre normal. You're enough for me. You've saved me, you're there for me when I need you, hell, you just bought me how many books to add to my library?"

"37 books" He muttered. Kai nodded. "I love you"

"See! You even remember all the little things," she murmured. "I love you so, so, much, Kai,"

"I love you more, my princess" He said softly

Lorelei smiled, leaning up and kissing him.

Kai kissed her back
