Kayla had forgotten what she'd been missing, locked up in the king's grip for what felt like a lifetime. She laughed, just to feel that carefree feeling again. She kissed Gale's cheek and tookhis hand

Gale took her hand, squeezing it as he looked over at her, smiling softly as they made their way back to the tavern, Gale pulling them into the tavern to get some dinner.

Kayla glared at a guy who checked her out, her eyes threatening violence if he came closer

Gale was wary of the man, not wanting to get into yet another bar fight.

Kayla looked closely at Gale's neck after a moment, her hand brushing it. She scoffed lightly, glancing at the man again as he ordered 2 drinks and sauntered over to her. She dropped Gale's hand and placed hers on his chest, warning him to stay put while she handled it. "Hey, beautiful." He drawled, offering her the drink. "No, thanks." She said in a sickly sweet voice, putting a fake smile on. "C'mon, don't be like that..." He said, grabbing her arm swiftly and pulling her into his grasp. She twisted and punched him, him staggering back as he blacked out. Kayla took the drink from the counter and chugged it.

Gale caught her gaze but looked away when he saw her eyes grazing along his neck, acting as if the 'gallery' wasn't there. "It's nothing," He muttered, sipping his drink. The man felt the warm, soft touch of her hand on his chest asking him to stay put, him doing so. Though Gale found it hard to stay put as the man toyed with Kayla, he chuckled as she got a drink at the counter and chugged it.

"What?" She asked, a smile on her lips

"Nothing, nothing at all." He added with another chuckle, finishing his meal and sending off his empty plate.

Kayla rolled her eyes playfully, leaning on him slightly

"What now?" Gale asks, out of ideas and slightly tired.
