@someday, I live at home with my mom and are renters, but I think we deserve our deposit back when we move out. The previous renters didn't clean the carpets even though they were supposed to, left a bunch of junk in the garage, and we're three weeks late moving out.

I think the rental company is just trying to keep my entire deposit and padding the bill. I called the same company that did the cleaning and was quoted $50/hour for a move out deep clean of the same size house.

@PK, i've no doubt it is very hard work. I can understand the reason for having two people there as it helps keep the workers accountable. I am just surprised it cost that much.

Bird, we were just charged $1,300 for a move out deep clean by the rental company we were leasing from. I have disputed it, because holy cow! I am in the wrong line of work if that is the price for cleaning a 3 bedroom house for 3 hours. I happen to know it took them 3 hours because I bought the house across the street and was home when they were there. I dont think the rental company realizes I could see the whole thing.

I can clean my house by myself in 2 1/2 hours, but these companies are saying it takes two people the same amount time.

@Angels, since you have both a big and small enclosure I don't think trying the bigger one would hurt since you can always put them back in the smaller one. Whereas when I had a reptile I didn't want to worry about buying a whole other enclosure.

Okay I may start getting more supplies for it then. I have had bad experiences with putting baby reptiles in too big of an enclosure and they can't find their food, then I have to downgrade them so they do well

I have an empty 20 gallon long tank and I am debating putting my baby leo in it. Right now he is in a platic bin cage that is about the size of a 10 gallon just not as tall. I am always worried about putting baby reptiles in too big of a cage. Online it says a baby is supposed to go in a 20 gallon but I don't know. thoughts?

Hey everyone!

I am still learning the ropes of art and finding my style, so I would love some critique of my progress so far. Here are some pieces I have done with different themes, I would love if anyone experienced in the art field could please give me some pointers?

I really do thank you in advance and appreciate your time :)

Though im not in the art field id like to say your style is unique in a way and really cute
But #1 The WIngs Need To be Blended Into The Body And The Color Match the Coat
#2 Your Eyes Need A Bit Of Work
#3 Try Blending your legs Into The Grass A Bit more or add a layer or grass ontop of it
#4 same thing
#5 I think the fawns lighting is a bit off
#6 its my favorite but try to blend the socket of the wing in a bit

I agree with Olive, but the biggest thing is shadows and reflections <3 I don't know which app you use, but I love Krita.
I've been compiling my favorite tutorials for a while now, I'll edit in a bit with em<3
Edit: Here they all are, in no particular order :3
Roanies Manip Tutorial(Love this one!)
Hope these help<3

The first things I notice are a lack of a shadow on the ground and a lack of depth (shadow/highlight) on your horses. I definitely recommend checking out the tutorials that KPH has listed. I think learning to place a shadow on the ground as well as add shadows and highlights to your horse, mane/tail, and wings will really take your art to a next level. :) I go over this in my tutorial (KPH linked to it).

I think another thing to pay attention to is the tone of your background compared to the horse. For example, the background of your last piece is very blue/green toned while your horse has more of a yellow tone. If your program has a Color Balance tool, you can use this to adjust the tone of your horse to match the same tones as your background. This can be super helpful to get your horse to "fit" in its background.
You can also adjust the tones of the "extras" in your art (antlers, wings, animals) to fit both your horse and the background.
It's amazing what difference the little details can make!

I think you really have down the other major foundation components to art - such as horse body prep and the beginnings of grounding. For your grounding, I would go in with a softer, translucent brush to erase legs so it blends easier into your background.
I really like your manes and tails - that last piece especially has some phenomenal hair action!
