oh I know nowadays the cost is horrible! We were just two gals trying to make bills

I think the rental company is just trying to keep my entire deposit and padding the bill. I called the same company that did the cleaning and was quoted $50/hour for a move out deep clean of the same size house.

@PK, i've no doubt it is very hard work. I can understand the reason for having two people there as it helps keep the workers accountable. I am just surprised it cost that much.

@Someday, that is crazy! I too have had the thought that I am in the wrong line of work if they can charge that much.

Bird, we were just charged $1,300 for a move out deep clean by the rental company we were leasing from. I have disputed it, because holy cow! I am in the wrong line of work if that is the price for cleaning a 3 bedroom house for 3 hours. I happen to know it took them 3 hours because I bought the house across the street and was home when they were there. I dont think the rental company realizes I could see the whole thing.

I can clean my house by myself in 2 1/2 hours, but these companies are saying it takes two people the same amount time.

@Angels, since you have both a big and small enclosure I don't think trying the bigger one would hurt since you can always put them back in the smaller one. Whereas when I had a reptile I didn't want to worry about buying a whole other enclosure.

Okay I may start getting more supplies for it then. I have had bad experiences with putting baby reptiles in too big of an enclosure and they can't find their food, then I have to downgrade them so they do well

I have an empty 20 gallon long tank and I am debating putting my baby leo in it. Right now he is in a platic bin cage that is about the size of a 10 gallon just not as tall. I am always worried about putting baby reptiles in too big of a cage. Online it says a baby is supposed to go in a 20 gallon but I don't know. thoughts?

I have been investigating paying someone to clean my house all morning and I can't believe how expensive it is.

I just started reading Equine Applied and Clinical Nutrition (2014) just for fun, and I have no idea what half the proteins and chemicals they talk about are! LMAO

What I lack in, at least being intrigued is not!

I read Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo about a month? Ago and 10/10 recommend.

Ooh, I just borrowed that from a friend and am going to read it. Haven't started it yet though.

Finished that one at 2 in the morning today, fantastic book. I couldn't put it down but now I'm kicking myself for not saving some pages for today.

Which one did you like better, Harrow the ninth or Gideon the ninth? I actually enjoyed Harrow more, but my dad (we read a lot of the same books) said he thought Harrow was boring :P

I enjoyed the last 3rd of both of the books. I feel like the beginning is very dragged out and incomprehensible in both of them, for different reasons, but the payoff you get in the last bit is SO worth the slog. I loved Gideon, but Harrow did some incredibly interesting things and I think it stood out more in that sense.

Really late response, but ooh, how exciting! I've started the book and am a bit into it, but not super far as I haven't had a ton of reading time :/
I am enjoying it though! :D

Speaking of which, does anyone have some good recommendations? Specifically interested in fantasy elements, diverse casts, and LGBTQ+ romance/rep. But really, anything well-written goes.

Lockwood And Co. Is a good one if you're coming down off a SOC high. Lockwood is sort of like Kaz, but PG13. Lots of hijinks and heists. It's a fun little read.

Ooh I really enjoyed SoC. I haven't heard of Lockwood and Co. But I'll be putting that near the top of my TBR list! Thanks for the recommendation :)
