She tried to focus on the game that was starting, but she kept circling back to Caden's shoulder. She jumped to hit the ball, almost landing sideways on her ankle. "Shit!" She said, regaining her balance. When the team came together after the first of 3 sets, Rose's teammates expressed their worry. "Are you alright, Rose?" "Be careful. We can't afford for you to eat shit today." "Rose!" She nodded, only half listening to them. She cleared her throat and spoke above the team, "Guys, we need to watch their tips. They will get the ball under the front row, trying to render an injury to one of us. Be on top of it. Dodgers on 3! 1, 2, 3, Dodgers!"

Caden revved on the gas in his Corvette before pulling up to the gym and taking a seat

Rose jogged back onto the court, seeing Caden sitting and watching. She smiled to him and took her place at the net. She saw the server's lips move to silently say to themselves where she was going to serve the ball. As soon as the server went to swing, Rose yelled the target number. "4! Kailyn! To You!" Rose spun and got into postition to hit. She took an approach and stumbled, barely evading a broken ankle before doing a mini jump and tipping it over the net. She was the next server, so she took the ball and hit it perfectly into the opponent's weak spot. The team cheered, and Rose served to different spots, knowing the strengths and weaknesses of the other team. She dove for the ball as the other team hit, landing with her right hip down. She knew it was a bruise, but she was glad no more than that. "Shit." She said when the team scored the point. Rose hit again and again, winning more and more points and winning the overall game. "Dodgers: 25, Lions: 11" the loudspeaker said, announcing the win. She was happy beyond what she had expected. She shot a smile at Caden, walking to the lockers.

Caden smiled and waited for Rose.Once she came out,he kissed her and announced, "Ya'll won!Regionals here we both come!" Caden exclaimed as he spun Rose around.

"Yeah. You'll win, though, and I won't" She stated matter-of-factly. She held his hand as they walked out. "We can take seperate cars home, then either you stay at my place or I stay at yours. Me staying at your haouse seems more reasonable, though, because I am driving your car." She said, looking up at him. "Fuck, we have school tomorrow, don't we?" She said, sighing. She climbed into the Cammero and started it. "I'll see you at home, handsome." She kissed him, drove out of the parking lot, and pulled into Caden's driveway. She went upstairs to his room and set her duffel bag down, waiting for him.

"Fuck,we do have school tommorow." Caden speede off in his Corvette until he reached the house.He locked the door before heading inside and flopping himself on his bed. "You did good,you will win." Caden said with a twinkle in his eyes.

She went to snuggle up beside him, her leg overlapping his and her hand tracing his chest muscles. "I love you." She said, kissing him. "And, I know you will win too, handsome."

Caden kissed her back and had his hand on her thigh,a normal trait he had become acostumed to. "Well duh we'll win,we're the Arizona Dodgers.We ehem as the girls say, we slayy!" Caden started dieing laughing. "Oh man,I need to get it together today." Caden had his arm overlaid on Rose,pulling her closer to him.

She burst out laughing when Caden exclaimed the usual girly slogan. She kissed him between giggles, happy he was happy. She sighed, her stomach hurting from laughing so much. "Is your shoulder feeling okay?" She said, remembering she should probably be careful with him. She kissed along his neck to his jaw before climbing on top of him, wrapping her arms and legs around him and resting her head on his chest. "I love you, Caden." She sighed, closing her eyes.

"Rose,you do know that,if I did'nt meet you after that football game,I'd be dead?" He asks,a serious tone in his voice and a dull tone in his usually sparkling eyes.His hand was rubbing Rose's thigh and his arm wrapped around her.
