"Are you okay?" He asks, sitting up with a small wince. |

"I just...hurt. I woke a lot last night, coughing blood again..." She muttered, her lungs protesting |

"We'll find something, eventually." |

Rose nodded, not wanting to speak in fear of more pain |

"Here i'll make you some breakfast," He says, standing and walking over to the kitchen |

"I'm not hungry..." She said, not knowing if her throat could take it |

"Are you sure?" He asks, leaning on the counter. |

She nodded, a lie. She was so hungry but her throat was already on fire. She could survive a little hunger, right? |

"As long as you say so," Caden said quietly, brewing himself a coffee and dumping some whiskey in it. |
