Sage and just wrinkled his nose at Celeste's comment, but he didn't argue. He didn't really have time. Of course, he figured he deserved to be cut some slack given everything that was happening. Celeste had lowered him onto a mattress on the floor, with the help of Xander, and then they were left alone. He was undressed after a few minutes, huddled under a blanket beat he could be. When the babies started crying though, he started too. The tears always threatened to spill, but this time was worse and in a strange spot and he was vulnerable, as was his family. But...he just wished that they didn't need to do this. He tried to whisper out an apology to them, but he wasn't sure his slurred words were making any sense.

Odessa and Xander went to the other side of the room and turned the lights off for them, tending to the other kids who were now awake and hungry. Celeste helped him get undressed and ready, gently rubbing soothing circles on his shoulder or back. "You're okay..." she reassured him.

Sage did calm down slightly with Celeste there with him...that was at least one thing that was the same. Normal. Comfortable. He just moved to reach for her hand and grip it tightly, doing his best not to irritate the other kids or Odessa and Xander, who would still hear him. He appreciated their attempts to give him at least a little bit of dignity though, so once he was on his wolf form, he'd moved to pad over to them and nudge them with his nose gently, wagging his tail slightly in a sort of thanks.

Celeste held his hand, helping him through it. She held her kids as they morphed too, before releasing them in their puppy form, which the three of them bounded over to Sage.

Sage looked away from Odessa and Xander when he heard the puppies, and moved to greet them, sniffing them to find out who was who, tail wagging the whole time.

Celeste smiled, watching them. Att was the largest of the puppies, a reddish brown, Charlotte was a grey color, and Anne, the smallest of them, was a mousy brown.

Sage settled down on the floor again with them after a moment, near the blanket Celeste would cover him with when he turned back human. The puppies all piled on him, and he was content with that until he started hurting again. He let out a soft whine and flopped onto his side, tongue moving out in a pant as the puppies also started getting whiny.

Celeste scooted over to lay next to him, scratching behind his ears to distract him from the pain. "Youre okay, love," she whispered

Sages ears flickers towards her as she spoke, whiens growing increasingly louder and then slowly turning back to human sounds as he morphed back, finally going limp against her as the sun started shining through the windows.

Celeste smiled, handing over the exhausted Anne, Charlotte and Att to Odessa for them to clean them up. "You did so well, wolfie," she smiled softly, kissing his cheek.
