Kai nodded, pulling away from the hug as she did. "Okay," he agreed, walking with her to the dining room.

Cam smiled as they walked into the dining hall, and plopped down in her seat next to Kai at the top of the table.

Kai sat down just as their food was served.

Cam ate happily, chatting away to their family like ut was all she'd ever known. She missed her father - not this scary man he'd become. The one that had brutalised her husband, or that had hurt her mother. The thought of it all ate away at her. It wasn't long until they'd finished up, though, and she thanked the maids with a happy smile as they took the plates away.

Kai glanced over at her, "Ready to go?"

Cam looked up after a moment, and nodded lightly. As they walked out, she took his hand softly. It was still fairly early... maybe only six thirty, so they'd have time to go to the doctors now if they wanted to. She glanced over at him, ans squeezed his hand once they'd left the dining hall. "Are we going now...?" She asked gently.

Kai nodded, semi-shamefully. It was embarrassing that he felt like he had to get tested. The two walked into the ward, and a nurse came right up to them. "How may I help you?" she asked politely. "Um... I need um... a fertility test done..." he said awkwardly, looking at his feet, cheeks bright red. The nurse nodded, "Alright, follow me," she said politely, leading them over to a separate room. She handed him a sterile cup, "Just give that to me when you're all done," she said kindly, gesturing to the small room. Kai blushed and nodded, taking the cup and entering the room.

Camery followed him along, her hand lightly in his. It was clear he didn't seem at all comfortable with the whole thing, but she didn't mind - and he shouldn't care about what anyone else was thinking. They didn't matter. This was about him, and at the end of the day, the family they wanted to have together. She'd tried to comfort him, and she meant what she'd said. It didn't matter if they couldn't have their own baby. Sure, it would be sad but... she knew for a fact that they'd love any kid they had, even if they did adopt one. She sort of followed him around the ward, and sat down outside when he entered the little room, eyes on the ground as she pondered the whole thing.

Kai was already on edge as the door closed to the room. Cam wasn't with him and he was already stressing about it all. He tried to get it done quickly to get it over with and get back to Cam as fast as possible, but the more he thought, the more his anxiety rose. He tried and tried but nothing happened, he kept trying, beginning to get frustrated and desperate, tears falling, and yet, nothing. It became too much and his anxiety attack washed over him and he dropped to the ground crying.

Camery sat outside the room for a good ten or fifteen minutes before she admittedly started worrying a little about him. She wasn't sure why he wanted to do this so badly. They hadn't been trying for very long, and she'd already told him there was no point in doing a pregnancy test just yet. So why did he want to do this? It didn't matter, it would be good to find out either way she supposed. The longer she waited, the more she started to worry, and after another ten minutes and wandered up to knock gently on the door. "Kai, baby, everything okay?" She asked softly.
