"He wants you," she said gently.

Camerys eyes widened, looking back at the animal infront of her. She was so nervous of him, but those eyes. They were his eyes. Malakai's eyes. She nodded slowly, and reached a hand out gently to him, although was keeping a safe distance away from him.

Kai let out a low grumble, similar to a cats purr as he felt her hand on his scales.

Camery rested her hand lightly along his scales, feeling how he shifted beneath her skin. Was he okay? Was he handling all this... okay? she didn't know what okay in this case really even meant to be honest. As she relaxed, she ran her hand softly up and down his side, sort of clenching her teeth nervously.

Kai purred, happy, melting beneath her touch.

Camery kept a close eye on his mother, although her thumb was trailing up and down his back softly. "Is... this it? Is he all good now?" She asked quietly.
| |

Kai continued purring. His mother nodded, "This is it," she replied. "He's happy,"

Camery kept on gently stroking him, her eyes soft as she clocked his purring properly. "So... so nothing else is gonna happen?" She asked. Despite all her worries, she looked a little more relaxed when he said the man was happy. "How do you know?" She asked with furrowed brows.

The woman shook her head. "He's purring," she smiled.

Camery nodded, her hand staying pressed lightly against his scales. He was purring... he was happy. Okay, good. But now what? She watched him, letting out a soft sigh of relief as she realised, finally, nothing bad was about to happen. "Well... what do we do now? Can we do anything?" She asked softly.
