Sage had slept well into the morning once they were back in bed, not moving when Mari woke and got up the next morning. After a while though, he sifted slightly, sort of half waking up and glancing at the time before flopping his head back down onto the pillow and wrapping up in the blankets tighter. Mari was up, no doubt making breakfast, but she'd come and get him once it was ready, so until then he was going to lay around and let himself wake up nice annd slowly.

Mari made her way downstairs silently, although when she walked into the living room and saw... well a bit of a mess, she scolded herself before wandering over to the couch to put the blankets and cushions back in their places. Once satisfied, and wandered into the kitchen to make a fry up. It wasn't long until it was done, so she found herself humming gently as she took a tray back up to Sage. She placed it on his side, leaning over the bed a little to press a light kiss to his temple with a bit of a hum. "Sage, babe," she whispered softly, attempting to wake him up just a little.

Sage had half driften off again, though stirred slightly when he heard Mari's voice. Of course, his response was only to groan and curl tighter into the blankets, which she'd no doubt find amusing. Of course, he knew she also probably had breakfast waiting for him...but he'd have to manage to get his brain working before he even thought about getting hungry. It wasn't abnormal...she'd know that's what was going on. He'd sort of settled back down in his makeshift cocoon of blankets, though this time hed taken one of her hands hostage and pulled it under the blankets with him. He hadn't really thought about doing that, but even so that's what wound up happening.

Mari felt a soft smile cross her face as he curled up in the covers, although when he stole her hand off her, she felt a little laugh escape her. She squeezed his hand lightly, and sort of shifted to sit on the side of the bed, a hand running lightly through his hair. She knew he most defininately wasn't a morning person, but it was still rather sweet to see him all curled up. He looked so... peaceful when he was asleep like this. "Sage, hunny," she whispered softly, gently poking his side in a playful manner. "I have breakfast waiting," she chuckled gently.

Sage had sort of grumbled in response to her comment, shifting slightly when she poked him. He'd settled down soon enough though, and his eyes fluttered open to squint up at her as he sort of yawned. "Whatcha make," he sort of mumbled out, stretching with a small groan before settling down again next to her. He'd get up no matter what it was, she knew that, but just....not quite yet. He was still half asleep. He'd get there though, but for now he was curious about it.

Mari smiled softly, shifting a little bit to settle down just next to him. Her eyes glanced out the window, a little hum escaping her. It was already about midday, and thay actually did have things to do. Sage had to sort the horses, and she did need to get the kids at some point, too. She moved to tuck the blankets in around him, sort of leaning in to press a few playful kisses to his neck, right over the dark marks she'd somehow managed to scatter over him the night before. "Fry-up," she noted with a chuckle, moving to grab the tray and plopping it on her lap.

Sage had hummed lightly in response to her little pecks, a soft smile forming on his face as she settled down next to him. He nodded when she mentioned the fry up, shifting slightly as he attempted to wake himself up a bit more, though he was definitely still groggy. "Sounds good," he mused lightly. He could smell it now, and it did smell nice too...so that was working to wake him up a little bit.

Mari watched as he tried to wake up a little more, a little smile across her face after a moment or two. She nodded very much in agreement when he said it sounds good, and gently poked his side. She didn't want to wake him up too quickly, she knew he definately didn't want to be up at all as of then, but she had to admit it was rather sweet watching him try and be up. "It is. Very good," she hummed, then gave a soft sigh. "It's nearly midday. You need to get up, babe," she mused softly.

Sage had wriggled around slightly, whining out a sleepy "Mari," when she poked him, though she knew he wasn't actually upset or anything. Though, at her next comments, he groaned and nodded, running a hand over his face. "I know," he sighed. "I'm sure the kids are wondering when we're coming to get them," he added, sort of glancing at the clock and wrinkling his nose slightly as of that would make it go back in time so he could sleep longer. That would never happen, but he could dream about it he supposed.

Mari nodded very much in agreement. She loved those kids with everything she had, but she also knew very well that it wasn't fair to leave them with her mother for too long. She pecked his temple and pressed the tray onto his lap. "Come on. Eat then go see to the horses... I'll get the kids," she whispered gently. She looked up at the clock as he did, a soft sigh escaping her. She wished they could have time together a little more - again, she loved the kids, but they didn't really have much time just to be together before she got pregnant. It had all ended up well, she supposed, but it was still something she missed every now and then.
