Mari smiled slightly, nodding in agreement. "It doesn't take much to get you upstairs. I could probabaly carry you up," she teased him slightly, moving to run her fingers softly through his hair as he settled down. She did agree... having everyone home, and being home, would be perfect. If, of course, Sage was all okay at home. After a little while, though, when she figured he was asleep enough, she gently shifted him from her lap and moved to to go find the kids an all before settling down for the night.

Sage chuckled softly in response to her comment, sort of giving her a tired grin. "I'd like to see you do that," he mused quietly. The thought of it happening was amusing, he could admit that. The funniest part was that if she had to, she probably could carry him. Hopefully, it would never get to that situation. He'd drifted off quickly after that though, as maris lap was both familiar and honestly quite comfortable. It wasn't the first time he'd passed out on her. He slept well, but woke early the next morning, unable to fall back asleep. He supposed he was just excited to get home.

Mari slept comfortably through the night once she'd settled the kids down, although woke early the next morning to thelp the doctor out a little... she made sure to ask for Sage's meds, since she assumed he hadn't just yet, before going to get the kids ready to go. She soon found her way to Sage, though, with a light breakfast and a small smile spead across her face. "You're awake," she hummed, popping the tray down on his lap.
