Saphire shrunk away slightly at all the new foals. "This is nuts!" She whispered to Willow. "How can you think? I need a second" she quickly cantered away to a small quiet spot, laying down and taking a few breaths before nibbling on the grass.

Gem walked quietly behind Stone. She was so silent that he checked a few times to make sure she was still there. Gem shook her head and pinned her ears at the pink halter on her head. "Why couldn't we have just stayed? We were okay there!" She asked her brother.

Stone flicked his tail in her face. "We weren't safe there! They were hurting me and you know they hurt you! They took Mother from us!" He shot back. Even though Gem was silent, he could tell when her silence grew quieter. He sighed. "But I know something better is near" he said happily. He trotted through a break in the trees, his own red halter shaking violently at his choppy steps.

Tiger trotted over to meet the new foals, 'hi', he said in his friendly way,'i'm Tiger.'

Lis turned to see Tex, nervously sniffing the grass, he worried he had been to harsh, he believed in Tex, that he would be a hern member, and this new colt too, he returned his gaze to Tiger

Stone lifted his head and whinnied to a colt that seemed to have been banished from the herd. "What happened to you?" He asked

Gem bit his hindquarters. "What are you doing!" She cried just as Stone backed into her. "Shhhh!" He urged and she immediately fell silent

Willow looked at all the new foals and nodded with what Sapphire said, the nerves finally settling in. When Sapphire left the herd to find some quiet Willow wanted to follow, but froze stiff instead. She lowered her head and stayed absolutely quiet to avoid attention, she overheard Lismore and Tex and felt bad for Tex not getting in after she told him he would

The dark speckled filly watched with a smirk as Tex approached Lis, but it faded when when Sapphire and Lismore didn't fully trust the kid, she was confused but understood why. She watched Almanzo go outside the herd, feeling sorry for him she walked out to visit him "Hey Tex, you alright? I thought he'd let you in for sure" Starlight said glancing at the new colt (Tiger)

The filly ate as much as she could, her paint coat shining when the shade moved, she heard two voices, she turned to the woods and slowly approached it, a little worried but that didn't stop her. She looked through some shrubs to see 2 identical foals "Hello! I'm Isabella! Are you two lost?" She asked the colt and filly hiding behind him

Saphire nibbled on the grass then rolled, quite enjoying her peace and quiet.

Gem shrieked when a filly trotted up, hiding behind her brothers tail. She caught a glimpse of a dark brindle coat and looked at him for a while. He seemed sad. When a foal walked up to him, her giddiness immediately fell away and she hid behind her brother tail again.

Stone stood tall, his protectiveness setting in. "Sort of. Is this herd letting foals in? I noticed that that foal got pushed away.." ne nodded his muzzle toward a colt (Tex) further away, a filly talking to him.

Isabella glanced back at Tex and Starlight than looked back at the colt "Yes, this herd is letting foals in because we're a foal herd! We ran away from our parents" The filly explained with a nod "But Tex who is the colt who was pushed away? He's definitely new, he was about to get in but the leader changed his mind, he can stay with the herd but only on the outside till the herd travels south, once Tex and Tiger's loyalty is proven they can officially join!" Isi went on, feeling bad for both the colt and the filly she smiled warmly "But your situation is different, what are your names? If you two follow me I can explain to our leader Lismore that you are only protecting your sister, and that I think you both mean well" Isabella offered

Stone listened intently then almost instantly began following the filly who was speaking. He stopped when he noticed Gem wasn't moving. He turned around, nipped at her mane and tugged, then continued on with the filly. He watched the filly with a slight grin poking at his face

Gem watched the brindle colt for a second before trotting to keep up with Stone. She trailed right behind him, never leaving his side

Isabella smiled and walked back to the herd, keeping a eye on the identical foals and the herd members as they got in, making sure the others didn't rush over, she picked up the filly was shy and timid. She smiled at the colt who was looking at her, she stopped in front of Lis "Hello sir, these two are lost. And want to seek refuge in the herd, I know you want them to prove they're loyalty and trust to the herd, but look at them they're harmless! And he's trying to look out for his sister. I trust them" Isabella spoke confidently with a proud nod as she stood tall "So please Lis, can they join? It can't hurt to trust these two" She pleaded batting her eyelashes which was Isabella's mechanism for getting things from others
