Sunni,
For sure. But the idea of someone sedating a kid to make them take the needle is outlandish. Never heard of it lol

Versa a fear of needles is pretty common.

I was HORRIFIED of shots when I was a kid. Like, crying, shaking, stressed, pacing, and overall a wreck. Never once did they ever mention doing that to me. Orally or otherwise

As a stud colt anyway

I doubt they would even prescribe something to take orally.
Snitches' Stitches
10:20:45 Snitch
Star
That's really a doctor question, but probably not unless it's for life saving measures. Might just give the kid a chill pill like trazadone or something before the appointment
Hummingbird Meadows
10:19:48 Bird
@Star, I don't think they would ever do that. Sedation is typically given with an IV anyways.
Snitches' Stitches

If you're not planning on breeding him, then gelding would be best for his training

Hey guys I have a question; Is it legal for a doctor to sedate a child under 18 with parental consent so that the child can take a shot?
Purnima
10:16:15 Alex
-HEE Click-

So my question is if I don’t plan on using him for breeding because of the P should I just geld him?
Hummingbird Meadows
10:09:48 Bird
He's getting more confident out there though. He gets excited about chasing the bugs.
Hummingbird Meadows
10:07:29 Bird
@Artic, the sun set so it was cool enough for us to go out for 30 minutes. It was getting dark so I picked him up and brought him inside.

Glacier Bay Cove
10:05:09 Arctic Katz
Is it raining there, Hummer, or did the sun set
Hummingbird Meadows

Yes I think that you need to learn more about the horse riding and care I don't know how much you know but I know I've been riding 7 years with horses I have my second now and if you can't trot I would not lease a horse cause you don't know how good they will take care of your horse they could just leave it in the stall and do nothing with it for weeks I'd do some research of the people who want to lease the horse ...😉

I have known this person for some time now,and my mom has been with horses all her life and she will be helping me a lot as i will also be taking lessons on him!

It sounds like a really good deal. Especially if you want to learn on him, as he sounds like he's been around the block and has dealt with (small) children.

Sounds like a good deal for someone who perhaps needs to go through the steps again, and being old shes like a schoolmaster so may be just what you need! But at the same time,If you want to learn properly and take things slow id have a few riding lessons to help you decide! And maybe ask your riding instructor as they should be able to judge if your ready by your riding skill!

Hope this helps!

I would go to a stable and take lessons, ask if you can do some horse work to learn more about horses. See if you have a local 4-H

What is your riding experience? What type of riding do you do, how advanced are you, how long have you been riding?

Western,i can almost trot and ive been riding and around horses 11 years

You've...been riding almost eleven years and only can 'almost trot'?

Take lessons-learn to ride before leasing a horse.

I suggest taking lessons and learning what it's like to own a horse, before even thinking about leasing or buying.

Just saying, that is the combo of my 2 favorite horse breeds! I learned to ride on an Arabian and have loved the breed since then, and Andalusians are the most amazing horses ever! (I own one, trust me). I would say hold back on leasing. You dont have the experence at all to be riding not in a lesson and even just leasing a horse is a huge mental, physical, and financial strain. Good luck in your riding journey!
