@Sting, ah makes sense. You said they are called honey eaters? I have heard of bee eaters. Saw them at the Bronx zoo once!

You are right. I always grew up with them being called hummingbirds. but a quick google tells me ours are different to yours.
Still nectar lovers, but not as much 'humming' activity

@Sting, you live in Australia right? If so I am positive there aren't hummingbirds there. Sorry.

Actually they are "Honey-eaters"

Bird it would make sense, a lot of read dye in our food has been known to cause problems in the body.
I may not be 100% right, I believe Cancers and urinary problems.
I was all ways to avoid red dye in food and drinks growing up because of an over active bladder.

09:28:46 Sting
we have them here too. Also bee-eaters.
Hummingbird Meadows

@Sting, yeah hummingbirds are only found in North and South America.

@Sunni, I haven't done research, but I have heard similar things about red dye. They don't need it to be attracted to the feeder.
Narran Park
09:23:55 Sting
I need to look into it.
I dont think feeding hummingbirds is much of a thing here in Australia.

It should be though!

Bird she was running around filling all the feeders during the conversation.
She has about 6 of them.
She makes the sugar water herself.
She says the red dye in it is bad for them.

Talking about hummingbirds for an hour sounds like something someone who is on the spectrum might do. I can be guilty of steering the topic away to something that interests me.

She probably wouldn't talk about it if she was.
It took her ages to tell me the doctor tried diagnosing me with autism as a kid. She wasn't happy about that answer and told them "nope she isn't."

I had an OTTB who fractured one side of his jaw. (it's still a mystery as to how lol) He had a bump there that pretty much went away after I think about 2 years. I could barely feel it if I knew where to look, but it wasn't visible, even when his jaw line was clipped for shows. He just got fed soaked hay pellets for 2 weeks, then was back to normal. Hopefully Zullie heals well! :)

Lol I really don't know how my horse did either cause we had her turned out for around a month when we were moving. That is a good idea soaking her palette I might do that! Thank you so much!

So I may start riding Zullie again because her jaw is so much better! Zullie is not is a barn right now because we are still building the stalls. We are trying to get them in the barn fast a possible, but it may take to the end of the week. I will not do much hard riding until she is in the barn.
