Dash and Duchess said: Duchess looked up as Noble squinted at the birds. It seemed so serene out here, nothing like it was back at the barn, and it was especially welcome after the chaos and trauma of the fire. Duchess turned to Noble, "They're beautiful aren't they." She stepped towards the birds, now specks growing ever smaller, the wind blowing her mane behind like a fairytale, "Sometimes i wish i had wings like a bird, to fly over all of the fields, not a care in the world. Not to mention the easy emergency exit from predators!" She giggled, Before a stiff expression fell over her face, "but i know what you mean, It looks so perfect, but it just feels... off" just then she flicked her ears forward, surveying the surrounding area. "Noble, Do you....Do you feel like we're being... watched?" Duchess shot him a glance as she backed out of the wooded area, eyes quickly darting across the trees, hoping to find something, anything, yet also wishing it was nothing.

Noble's head lifted higher than before, his eyes wide as he scanned the trees. "Duchess... Let's go" he murmured before trotting away. His ears were flicked back, his gaze landing just behind her as she shot forward. He kept himself between her and the danger he could sense, his protective tendancies making their way to the surface. He smelled the predator before he sould see it. Noble slid to a stop and spun on a dime, facing the animal that was hunched low to the ground. It looked like the dog back at the barn, just much, much bigger. "Duchess, don't move." He warned, He kept eye contact as the animal stepped forward, but his gaze was ripped to the side as another one emerged from the trees. Noble's ears pinned, waning the creatures to stay away, but they didn't heed his warning- they took it as a threat. The dog bared his teeth and let out a low growl. "Go!" He squealed, turning on his haunches and galloping across a brief clearing, one dog hot on his tail. The animal barely dodged the kick Noble sent toward its head, but it lost its footing and slowed down. He could see Duchess out of the corner of his eye, so he swerved toward her, running straight into the animal charging her. The animal let out a yelp and the one behind him growled louder. "Into the woods!" Noble called and followed Duchess. He wasn't an expert jumper, but boy could he run. He forced his legs to go faster as he swerved, throwing the animal off course.

Duchess Looked to noble, as she saw whatever that shadow crouched on the ground was, then another. She galloped fast after noble, swerving to the side as the dog dodged her kicks. Suddenly noble slammed into the snarling animal following her. She heard noble yell for her to head to the woods, she flew over the fallen trees and streams, quickly catching up to noble, with the other 'dog' still laying out in the clearing, she lowered her head and snapped the one trailing noble in the foot, hard, as it's paw swung into the air with it's swift gait. She swung it as hard as she could to the side, which, considering the size of it....was not very far. Noble turned back as Duchess reared up in an attempt to scare of the animal once more. If it tried to charge Noble again, she had a perfect shot to trample it, if it came at her, she'd be screwed.
