Finnegan Larson - Finn smiled at her softly, taking her hand gently and squeezing it. "Of course, Sunshine. I won't ever give up on you," he promised her.

Sera's heart fluttered as Finn's warm hand enveloped hers, his words wrapping around her like a comforting blanket. She looked up at him, a mix of gratitude and vulnerability in her gaze. He means it, she thought, feeling a swell of emotion rise in her chest. It had been so long since someone had made her feel this safe, this cherished. She squeezed his hand back, the words catching in her throat, but her eyes spoke volumes—silent thanks and unspoken hope. "Thank you," she whispered, her voice barely audible but full of all the things she couldn't say aloud.

Finnegan Larson - Finn smiles at her. "Always, my Sunshine," he says softly. A light breeze ruffled their hair, a strand of hers in her face. Finn carefully swept it aside with a gentle hand.

Sera’s heart fluttered at his touch, the warmth of his fingers lingering on her skin. She glanced up at him, the smile she had tried to hold back finally breaking free. *"Sunshine,"* she murmured, feeling a warmth that had nothing to do with the sun. It wasn’t just his words—it was the way he looked at her, as if she were the center of his world. She tilted her head, letting him tuck the stray strand of hair behind her ear, the soft brush of his fingers sending a shiver down her spine. The breeze danced around them, but it was Finn who made everything feel still, like the moment was suspended in time.

Finnegan Larson - Finn grinned at her and cupped her cheek with a gentle hand. "My Sunshine..." he murmured to her. Suddenly the dinner bell rang and Finn's head snapped up instinctively. He looked back down at her, their moment clearly disturbed. Finn let go of her face and her hand. "Dinner?"

Sera blinked, momentarily disoriented by the sudden shift. The warmth of Finn's touch still lingered on her skin, but the sound of the dinner bell had shattered the fragile bubble they'd shared. She swallowed, her pulse quickening, a mixture of disappointment and uncertainty settling in her chest. "Right..." she replied softly, her voice a little too quiet. She glanced down at her hands, trying to gather herself. The moment had felt so real, so close, and now it seemed like a lifetime ago. She forced a smile, meeting his gaze. "I guess we should go." But inside, a small part of her didn't want to.

Finnegan Larson - Finn smiled at her sheepishly. "Yeah, probably..." The two of them walked over to the mess tent and got their food together. Micheal and Zoya eyed them with a smirk. Finn took his regular seat next to Micheal but scooted over so Sera could sit down if she wanted to sit with them.

Sera glanced at Finn, feeling the warmth of his smile tug at her in a way she wasn’t quite ready to admit. She had known him long enough to recognize that sheepish look — it was one of his more charming expressions, even if he didn’t always mean it to be. She raised an eyebrow as they walked toward the mess tent, her curiosity piqued by the playful smirks on Michael and Zoya’s faces. When they reached the table, Finn slid over a little to make room for her. She hesitated for a moment, considering the space he left. Part of her felt like she should keep a little distance, but another part... well, another part felt pretty comfortable where she was. With a quick glance at Michael and Zoya, she made up her mind and dropped into the seat beside Finn. "Thanks," she said with a half-smile, but her eyes stayed focused on the food. No need to draw too much attention to the fact that she was sitting next to him. She could already feel the playful tension building around the table. She’d have to brace herself for whatever teasing Michael and Zoya had in store.

Finnegan Larson - Finn smiled at her "Of course, Sunshine." he murmured to her. Zoya and Micheal exchanged a raised eyebrow look and smirked at the nickname. Finn didn't mean to let the nickname slip in front of other people, but it happened. Thankfully neither Zoya nor Micheal teased them, but they did exchange looks all throughout dinner.

Sera felt a warm flush spread across her cheeks at the sound of Finn's voice, the soft and familiar nickname catching her off guard. Sunshine. It was a simple word, but it always made her feel... special. Hearing him say it in front of Zoya and Micheal sent a flutter through her, and she couldn't help but glance at them, half-expecting a teasing remark. But to her relief, they stayed quiet, exchanging only knowing looks between themselves. It was as if they could see the way her heart skipped a beat at the sound of Finn's voice. She was grateful they didn't push it, but the quiet glances between them made her feel like she was in the spotlight. She couldn't help but sneak a glance at Finn, meeting his eyes for a moment. A smile tugged at her lips, and she quickly looked away, hoping the others hadn't noticed the way her stomach did flips at his soft tone.
