Finnegan Larson - Finn rolled his eyes but smirked. "Alright, alright, I'll be good"

Sera raised an eyebrow, crossing her arms as she leaned back. “You’d better be,” she said with a playful glint in her eye. She knew Finn all too well — his smirks were never as innocent as they seemed. “You can’t just say it and expect me to believe it, you know.” She paused, her lips curling into a mischievous grin. "But I guess I'll let it slide... for now." Her gaze lingered on him a moment longer, as if she was trying to catch him in a lie.

Finnegan Larson - Finn raised his hands up playfully, "Alright, I'll be good, I promise" he smiled. "C'mon, lets go to this bonfire" he said, smiling and taking her hand, dragging her out of the mess tent.

Sera couldn't help but smile at Finn's playful grin, the mischievous glint in his eyes making her feel lighter. He had this way of making everything feel less serious, like even the darkest moments could be brushed away with a laugh. She let him pull her along, her fingers naturally curling around his as they left the mess tent. The night air hit her face, cool and crisp, and the distant crackle of the bonfire drew her in. She felt a surge of excitement, the kind that came from something simple but comforting. Being around Finn had a way of making her forget about everything else for a while. "You're lucky you're cute," she teased, giving him a sideways glance as they walked. It was impossible to stay upset with him for long, especially when he was acting like this—lighthearted, full of charm, and effortlessly pulling her into whatever adventure he had in mind next. "Bonfire, huh?" she said, grinning, "I don't suppose you plan on being good there either, do you?"

Finnegan Larson - Finn raised an eyebrow "I'm cute now?" he questioned with a smile. "Sunshine, don't pretend you didn't know about the bonfire, you agreed to come. Its Josh's birthday." he teased. "But, I said I'd be good, so I'll be good."

Sera couldn’t help but smirk at Finn’s playful tone. She crossed her arms, leaning back slightly, eyes sparkling with amusement. “Oh, I know exactly what you’re doing, Finn,” she replied with a teasing edge to her voice. “Trying to charm your way out of whatever mischief you’ve got planned, huh?” She paused, glancing at him with a knowing look. “But don’t think for a second I’m letting you off the hook just because you said you’d be ‘good.’ We both know what happens when you try to play it straight,” she added, her smile widening. "Josh’s birthday, sure... but you’re still you, and I’m still watching.”

Finnegan Larson - Finn chuckled and raised his hands up in mock defensiveness. "Hey, I promise I'd be good. I'll be good" he promised her, walking with her down to the Bonfire.

Sera walked with Finn, her steps tentative as the sound of the crackling fire grew louder in the quiet night. Her heart pounded in her chest, the weight of the moment settling heavily on her. She could feel the warmth of the bonfire on her skin, but it didn’t do anything to ease the nervous fluttering deep inside her. As they reached the fire, she paused, eyes scanning for an empty spot, anything that would keep Finn from sitting beside her. Her gaze flickered to him, and she could feel the heat in her cheeks rise despite her best attempts at control. Finn, of course, had other plans. "Hey, I promise I'd be good," he said, his voice teasing but reassuring, as he raised his hands in mock surrender. He seemed completely at ease, like he had no idea how his presence made everything feel a bit more intense. Sera swallowed and forced herself to smile, trying to appear unaffected as she took a seat on a large, weathered log near the edge of the firelight. She clasped her hands tightly in her lap, fingers digging into her palms, and focused on her breathing. She could hear Finn's footsteps as he walked around, but she didn’t dare look up. Please don’t sit next to me. Her mind whispered it like a prayer, though she knew it was futile.

Finnegan Larson - Finn went straight to wandering around, chatting with people he hadn't talked to in a while. He grabbed himself a beer and started sipping on it. It was a while later when he thought of Sera again and looked around for her. Finn spotted her sitting alone just a ways across the bonfire, looking quite lonely. Finn didn't even have to make up his mind before he was walking over to her. "Hey," he greeted her softly, sitting down next to her.

Sera glanced up when she heard his voice, a flicker of surprise passing through her. She hadn’t really expected Finn to come over, especially after he’d been chatting with everyone else for so long. It wasn’t like she was upset—she didn’t need someone to sit with her. But when she saw him, she felt a little lighter, like maybe she wasn’t so invisible after all. “Hey,” she replied, her voice a little softer than usual, but it wasn’t uncomfortable. It was just... nice to see him, even if she didn’t fully understand why he was here. She looked at the fire for a moment, the crackling flames dancing in the night. "How's it going over there?" she asked, nodding toward the rest of the group. "I see you’ve been busy." Sera wasn’t sure what to say next, but she didn’t feel the need to force anything either. The warmth of his presence was enough for now.
