Sera had been feeling off for days now—tired, dizzy, and somehow both queasy and hungry at the same time. She’d brushed it off at first, blaming stress or the change in weather, but something in the back of her mind kept nudging her. That quiet, persistent feeling wouldn’t leave her alone. She finally gave in and bought a test. Now she stood in the bathroom, barefoot and trembling, the test clutched in her hand. Two lines. Clear as day. Her breath caught in her throat as a wave of emotion surged over her—disbelief, awe, fear, overwhelming joy. Tears filled her eyes, and she pressed her free hand to her stomach, already feeling fiercely protective of the tiny life beginning to grow inside her. She stepped out of the bathroom, eyes wide, glassy with tears, and found Finn sitting on the bed, smiling and relaxed, exactly where she'd left him. She walked toward him slowly, still in shock, her lip trembling. Sera sat beside him and held out the test with shaking hands, her voice barely above a whisper. "Finn… we're gonna have a baby."

Finn gaped at the test. "Oh my god... we're having a baby..." he whispered in shock. His eyes flicked to her belly and then at her face. He smiled. "We're really gonna have a family," he murmured, pulling her gently into a hug.

Sera couldn’t stop the tears now — they streamed freely down her cheeks as she clung to him, nodding against his shoulder. “We’re really gonna have a family,” she echoed back in a trembling whisper, her voice thick with emotion. Her arms wrapped around him tightly, as if anchoring herself to the moment, to him, to everything they’d dreamed of. She pulled back just enough to look at his face, her own still wet with tears but radiant with joy. “You’re going to be such an amazing dad, Finn,” she whispered, pressing her forehead to his. “I’m so happy it’s you. I want this… all of this… with you.” She placed a shaky hand over her belly, her smile growing tender. “Our baby, Finn.”

"You're gonna be such an excellent mom," he whispered. "All of it, just with my sunshine," he whispered, tears dripping down his cheeks too. "Our baby," he echoed, pressing a gentle hand to her belly.

Sera’s breath hitched as she felt his hand join hers over the soft curve of her belly, the weight of the moment settling deep into her chest. She leaned into him, brushing her nose gently against his, tears still sliding down her cheeks — but these were the happiest tears she’d ever cried. “Our baby,” she whispered again, her voice trembling with awe. “We made this life… you and me. Together.” She cupped his face with both hands, thumbing away his tears with delicate care. “They’re going to know love from the very start,” she promised softly. “Because they’ll grow up watching us love each other every day.” A smile tugged at her lips, even as her eyes shimmered. “And they’ll have you — the kindest, bravest, most selfless man I’ve ever known. You’re going to be the heart of this family, Finn.”

Finns happy tears continued to trickle down his cheeks. He smiled. He loved when she spoke to him like that. It made him feel loved and important, like it was real. He could never match her words. "I love you so much..."

Sera leaned in and rested her forehead gently against his, her hands still cradling his face. His tears, warm and real, brushed her thumbs as she held him close. “You don’t have to match my words,” she whispered, her voice thick with emotion. “You show me every single day. In the way you hold me… in the way you look at me. The way you never give up.” She pulled back just enough to meet his eyes fully, her own still glistening. “You’ve already given me the world, Finn. And now… now we get to build something even more beautiful together.” A soft smile curved her lips as she kissed his cheeks, one after the other, catching his tears with her lips. “I love you more than anything. You and this little one—we’re everything to me.”

Finn smiled and nodded. "I cant wait to meet them,"

Sera smiled, her heart swelling as she looked at him—her husband, her partner, the father of their child. She laced their fingers together, bringing his hand gently to rest over her belly. “Me too,” she whispered, voice tender with wonder. “Every day, I think about what they’ll be like. If they’ll have your smile… your laugh… your heart.” Her eyes shimmered with quiet joy. “I already love them so much, and we haven’t even met them yet.” She leaned into him, resting her head on his shoulder. “They’re so lucky, you know… to have you.” A soft sigh left her as she closed her eyes. “I can’t wait to watch you hold them for the first time.”
