Finn smiled and nodded, leaning down to kiss her belly.

Sera giggled softly, the sight of Finn kissing her belly making her heart flutter. Her fingers gently combed through his hair as he leaned close, and she rested her free hand over his. She looked down at him with a warm smile. “What do you think they’ll be?” she asked gently, voice filled with quiet excitement. “A little boy? A little girl?” Her thumb brushed over his knuckles. “Do you have a feeling? A guess?” She tilted her head curiously, watching his expression. “I keep dreaming about a baby with your eyes... but I can’t tell which.”

"I hope it's a girl. But I'm going to love them either way," he whispered, kissing her belly again and kissing her cheek.

Sera smiled, her heart swelling at the tenderness in his voice. She leaned into his kiss on her cheek and let her hand rest over his on her belly, fingers curling between his. “I hope it’s a girl too,” she whispered, her eyes shining with quiet joy. “But you’re right… no matter who they are, I’m going to love them so much.” She looked down at their joined hands over her stomach, her voice growing softer. “They’re already so loved… and so lucky. They’re going to have the kindest, strongest dad.” Her gaze flicked back up to meet his, eyes shimmering. “We’re really doing this, Finn.”

Finn smiled and nodded. "We really are,"

Sera let out a soft, breathy laugh—one of disbelief and joy all rolled into one—as she leaned her forehead against his. “I used to dream about this, you know?” she whispered. “About waking up next to you, watching the sun rise with your arms around me… about having a little life that’s half you and half me.” She reached up and gently brushed his hair back from his face, her thumb tracing the line of his jaw. “I never thought we’d actually get here. After everything we’ve been through… the pain, the nights you almost didn’t come back to me… it just feels like—like maybe we were always meant to survive it all. So we could be here. So we could have this.” Her voice trembled as she smiled. “What do you think they’ll be like? Our baby?”

Finn smiled and nodded. "Me too..." he whispered softly. He nodded. "I think they're going to be sweet and kind, but know what they want in the world and push to get it. Just like you,"

Sera felt her throat tighten, emotions swelling all at once. She reached out and cupped Finn’s cheek, her palm warm against his scarred skin. “That means the world coming from you,” she whispered. “But I hope they’re like you too—gentle, and brave, and full of heart. I hope they love with their whole soul… just like their dad.” She leaned in, pressing a tender kiss to his lips, then pulled back just enough to rest her forehead against his again. “No matter what they’re like, I just know they’ll be so loved. Every single day. By both of us.” Her hand drifted down to her stomach, cradling it softly. “You think we’ll be good parents?” she asked, her voice quieter now. “Because I really want to be. I want to give them everything we never had.”

Finn nodded. "I think so," he whispered, choking back tears.

Sera's heart swelled at the sight of his teary eyes. She reached up, gently wiping away the ones that slipped free with her thumb, her touch tender. “Hey,” she whispered, her voice barely above a breath, “you’re already everything they’ll ever need, Finn. Just look at how much love you carry.” She kissed the corner of his eye, where a tear had fallen. “We’ll figure it out, just like we always do. Together. And if we mess up a little along the way,” she added with a soft smile, “we’ll learn. We’ll grow. Because that’s what love does.” She placed both hands over her stomach again, guiding one of his over hers. “They’re gonna know love like we never got to... because of you. Because of us.” Her voice cracked slightly, but she didn’t pull away. “You’re going to be such a good father, Finn.”
