Theodore Girard - Theo followed Auni, and when she settled down on her blanket, he spread out his towel on the ground next to her blanket and sat on his towel. "Actually, its quite pretty here. My family were never beach people, so the change of scenery is quite nice." Theo said thoughtfully, pulling out his sketchbook. He flipped through the pages, rather quickly, so she couldn't get a good look at his art. Theo never liked sharing his art in his sketchbook. Those drawings he was much more self-conscious of. Theo flipped over to a drawing of a girl, with some white, blank spots he had yet to finish. He grabbed his pencils and started drawing. His plan for this particular drawing was to have the girl, covered in English Ivy and peony flowers. Theo interpreted and was creating this drawing to symbolize the memory of someone after their death. At first, you remember the whole picture of them, every detail. But then, after a while you start to forget, but you still think kindly of them. So Theo was drawing a girl, not anyone in particular, who had died, with splotches and patches of her face blank or forgotten, but the Ivy and Peonies cover those spots to the best of their ability, attempting to hide the fact that you have forgotten something about the girl. Yes, it was all a little intense, but Theo always liked his sketches to have some sort of meaning. Theo was sketching the outlines of the English Ivy leaves when Auni asked him the question about moving. Surprised, Theo rushed to think of an excuse as he didn't want too many people to know about his parents. "I don't know. Just a change of scenery, I guess." Theo made up an excuse.

Auni nodded she tried to glance to see if she could see any of his sketches but she couldn’t. She kept painting now focusing on the little details to help bring the painting to life. she didn’t buy his answer it seems rushed… there’s so much of Europe so why pick here to see. “Not a man of many words, huh,” she trailed off and she was pretty good a reading people but he was kind of hard because she had just met him but something didn’t seem right but she couldn’t tell what it was. She glanced over again and was able to see a few flowers on the page. “What do you usually sketch? Or like what do you pull inspiration from” She asked as his work seemed very intricate. And art was something they had in common. The sound of the ocean was very soothing to her she looked out over the horizon and watched as Sadie would run up to the waves and then run back before it would get her

Theodore Girard - Theo looked up from his drawing to speak with her. "Realism. Mostly people, sometimes plants and animals, but for the most part its just people. Things and thoughts I find important to me, and to the rest of the world." Theo explained. "What about you? What do you usually paint?" he asked politely.

Auni thought for a moment she could respect that but for some reason people was very hard for her she just couldn't connect as much she preferred nature. "Your brave people can be tricky, but I love landscapes and capturing nature through its true form. I love bringing my paintings to life by the little details like the birds, and the water in motion, I also love adding texture sometimes and will take sand from here and add it to make them a bit different. I like experimenting with different techniques and textures," she explained as she realized how much she really did enjoy art. But if she had to chose one love it would be baking and cooking, which was a form of art in a way. She loved experimenting with different ingredients and new flavors and would try just about anything. She loves seafood but is particular it has to be fresh to taste the best. Her grandmas recipes are amazing and she learned a lot from her. They usually cook together when they go over for dinners. Edited at November 8, 2024 10:35 PM by Hopeful Hollows

Theodore Girard - Theo nodded and chuckled. "Yeah, people are quite hard to draw, but after years of practice it becomes a little easier," he said jokingly, but honestly at the same time. Even after drawing people for literal years, it was still tricky. Theo listened and nodded, taking in the information, storing it away in the back of his mind in case he needed the little details about her again. "Nice, that sounds cool," Theo commented, giving her a small supportive and understanding. smile.

Auni nodded in agreement she got a lot of work done on her painting but it wasn't quite done she figured that was a good stopping point for today. "We can head back home I think for dinner tonight we are going to my grandparents," she mentioned as they were eager to meet him and were the closest relatives. They had more of a brunch this morning and so around 3 they would get ready to go to their house. She put her painting things back in the basket and carefully placed the small canvas in it as well. Then folded the blanket up, she looked around and had lost sight of Sadie. She whistled and paused and then she heard a familiar voice. "Sadie must've smelled me and found her way over to my towel," her friend Kelsey said as the tall blonde appeared with Sadie next to her. Auni took a deep breath once she knew nothing happened to Sadie. "Thank you I was about to get worried about her," Auden said and then remembered Theo was there. "This is Kelsey she goes to our school," she mentioned as a brief introduction. Auden wasn't a huge fan of Theo but she also just doesn't really know him but she assumed he was capable of forming his own opinions and friendships.

Theodore Girard - Theo nods and packs up his stuff and shakes the sand out of his towel. He placed his stuff into his basket too his bike and looked around for Sadie as Auni called for her. He was getting worried as well until a blonde girl came walking up with Sadie. Theo watched the interaction, and gave the blonde girl a polite smile. "Hello, I'm Theo. I'm the exchange student this year." He introduced himself to Kelsey. Kelsey was quite pretty as well, yet not as beautiful as Auni. Kelsey was more french girl pretty, Auni wasn't french girl pretty, Auni was just beautiful in her own way. . Idea : Wht if Kelsey falls for Theo, but Theo likes Auni, and Auni eventually likes Theo, but won't say anything to Theo bc Kelsey, her best friend likes him. So Theo eventually picks up on little signs that Auni likes him and asks her out or admits he likes Auni.

(That’s a great idea! That’s kind of what I was thinking! Tonight when she's with her grandparents can be a little bit of a turning point and then more so at school is when Kelsey can start trying to flirt with Theo but then at home is when Auni subtly starts to let her guard down and be nicer and have more fun) “Nice to meet you, welcome to America” she said to him with a smile. Kelsey was always the pretty popular one. Auni liked her as a friend and has known her since she was little but their personalities were very different. “I’ll see you at school tomorrow!” Auni said and then put Sadie’s leash on. Kelsey waved and fluttered her eyes at Theo. She was the type to have a lot of crushes she dated one guy off and one for awhile Greyson Atwood the quarterback but other than that she hasn’t really had a committed relationship. Auni hasn’t really either hers have lasted a tiny bit but no one has been serious, they all have just wanted her to change or have stopped putting effort in. She’d be lying to herself if she didn’t think Theo was attractive but it was kind of off limits to her or so she thought. “Kels is in a few of my classes I’ve known her since I was little same with her sister Layla but she’s a little more quiet,” Auni explained as she made sure she got everything and hopped on her bike.

Theodore Girard - Theo smiled at Kelsey. "Nice to meet you, Kelsey," Theo said politely, waving her goodbye. He watched her go for a moment before turning back to Auni with a smile. Theo listened as Auni told him about Kelsey. He nodded. "She seems nice," he commented, getting on his bike as well. . Perfect!

Auni gave an approving nod and then steered her bike to the left side of the sidewalk to make room for Theo. Sadie trotted beside them and then the arrived home shortly afterwards. Auni halted her bike and walked it up the driveway and put it away in the garage next to the others and then went inside. “How was the beach?” Her mom asked as she was doing some work on her computer. “It was good we ran into Kelsey,” Auden mentioned. “Oh how lovely, I was just finishing up some work and then we are going to your grandmas for dinner,” she said as Auni looked at the clock. She wasn’t really planning on changing as her grandparents lived on the beach too. “Okay we’re ready,” she said as she perked up because that was her favorite place to go. Her dad came down and grabbed the keys and they all loaded up. “So Theo, is there anyone back home that you miss…any girls?” Her mom asked and Auni shot her eyes up by how invasive that was. “You don’t have to answer that…” she whispered to him.
