Lorelei listened before sinking to the ground in tears. She sobbed and sobbed. She heard footsteps and the door opened, her captor entering the room. "Please don't hurt me... please..." she cried, shying away from the man.

"Sorry, princess...This is the way it has to be" He said, chuckling and tying her up.

The man left the room, satisfied, a few hours later and left her bleeding in the room. Humming a tune casually, he locked the door and answered the call from his boss. "Hello?" He chirped, clearly in a better mood. "Any sign of the brat?" The man growled. "No, sir" He answered, chuckling. The line went dead and the captoor walked off

Lorelei was left on the cell floor, cold, bleeding, and terrified. God it was terrifying. She curled up into a little ball and sobbed. "Kai... please come back... help... please..."

Kai sprinted a few miles to the nearest car dealership and bought the crappiest car they had on the lot. He threw a bunch of money at them, signed his name a few times, and drove home. He stepped out of his car on wobbly legs and stumbled into the house. He grabbed a bottle of whiskey and drank straight from it. He blacked out and woke with the sun beginning to rise and his senses returned. "Lorelei. Have to find her..." He muttered, the aftermath hitting him like a train.

The man was cruel quite a few more times in the following days, not feeding Lorelei. The boss man showed up the third day in and grinned, seeing what had happened to her. He slid a few hundreds to the captor, sending him off. "Pleasure doing business." He muttered, ducking out the door while the boss lit a cigar and lounged in an old office chair outside the room

Lorelei grew more and more hopeless after every day that passed. She wasn't getting fed, her wounds were severely infected, she'd been violated, cried her eyes out more than once. But what was really getting to her is that Kai hadn't come to rescue her yet. Three days passed. Maybe he wasn't going to come and get her... maybe she was going to die here in this cell...

Kai finally bottled up his feelings enough to think straight after being drunk multiple days in a row. He drove halfway and ran halfway to the warehouse, sneaking in and easily waking his father on purpose. "Give me the damn keys" Kai growled, pistol trained on his father's head. "Easy, boy, you don't know how much fire you've played with until you get burned..." His father purred. "Fuck you. I'll burn this damn place to the ground before I let you go outta here." His father tossed the keys to Kai and grinned, cocky and rightfully so. "Take a look at your precious treasure..." He boasted smoothly, chuckling. Kai paused, worried more than ever. He clicked the key into place and opened the door, seeing her instantly alog with the scene around her. "Baby..." He said softly, rushing to her side and untying her. "Lorelei...I'm here, love, I'm here..." He said softly, crying

Lorelei was curled up, on the verge of conciousness, slipping in and out. Her ears rung, only hearing bits and pieces of the conversation. The next thing she knew she was in Kais arms. Her vision was hazy, but it looked like him. "...Kai?.." she whispered, unable to determine whether or not she was hallucinating.

"I'm here, baby, I'm here." He said, pleading now. "Stay awake, Lorelei. You hear me?" He sobbed, standing up and carefully picking her up bridal style. "What the fuck did you do to her?!" He screamed at his father, sobbing. He buried his face in her hair as his father chuckled and walked off with a low warning to Kai. "It won't be the final time. Remember that, son." He said, walking off and driving Kai's challenger off. Kai cursed under his breath before hurrying out to another car outside. He laced her in his lap as he drove, holding her close nd driving one-handed to the hospital. "I need a doctor!" He sobbed, rushing into the ER

Lorelei tried to stay awake, but black ebbed it way into her vision as they got into the car. She saw the sky though. She saw the sky, felt the warmth on her skin for the first time in 3 days. But before they even arrived at the hospital, her head lolled back, eyes going two different ways as her body shut down and she went unconcious.

"Lorelei! No, you can't leave me!" He yelled, the love of his life being taken from him and rushed away to be attended to while he was held back by three nurses. "Sir, she'll be fine." "Sir, please sit down." "Security!" The nurses all spoke at once until he was led to a quieter lobby and rocked back and forth on the chair, sobbing his heart out.

The doctor walked into the room, a grave look on his face, and cleared his throat. "She's in room 209" He said quietly, placing a hand on Kai's shoulder as he leapt up. "Cut her some slack. he was...used." The doctor said softly, patting Kai's back as he walked off. Kai rushed to Lorelei's room, taking in the monitors and his beautiful girl laying there--broken and bruised. "Baby..." He breathed, sitting beside her head and stroking her cheek. He took her hand without the IV and held it gently. "Oh, my Lorelei...I'm so sorry, baby..."
